It occured to me to host a Thoth Count working online here at AF... Basically the Thoth Count is a magickal calendar based off the cycles of Mercury. Have a look here (http://forums.abrahadabra.com/showthread.php?t=433) for the details. This calendar affords us a system by which to time Abrahadabra operations such they are synched up with that planet's orbit. For those who would care to join me, here is what I will do. Starting THIS THURSDAY, I will conduct a pathworking operation which will run 22 days, out of this thread. This Thursday translates into the TC as 14/67, which means that is the first day of the last 'month' of the 14th year of the TC. I'll describe a simple mediation operation that I will be doing, and that anyone else may do, should they care to. Since it is a pathworking, it will be an exploration of the 22 tarot trumps. I have developed a set of sigilized trumps which are very abstract but act as 'seeds'. They are here (http://forums.abrahadabra.com/showpost.php?p=2939&postcount=15). We will work it from ATU 0 to ATU XXI in a 22 day sequence. Is this project of interest to anyone? A couple things will be going on here:
1: A Pathworking from the Fool to the universe following the numbering sequence of paths found here, using the proximity principle.
2: The Expansion of an Abrahadabra in the first 11 days like so:

and then in the next 11 days a reduction to 0 of the same formula...
3: and a Twinstar working which will encompass all 22 days.
Each day will have a theme, being based on one of the ATU... my sequence is a little different from some of what others are used to (Thoth deck, GD attributions, etc...). The things to note are that I have Justice as XI (Maat as the Double Wanded one) and Strength as VIII.Also, The Star is IV, and the Man (Ex-emperor) energy is XVII (The artist, or the Philosopher, or the Inventor, as you see fit). As far as I know the only other tarot which uses these atributions is the Axil Aion tarot, a tarot with Maatian undertones (as mine has).
I realize this is a little different than some of what you guys are used to but, it is designed predominantly to be logically sound as well as to facilitate a non-hierarchical social ordering... It is the Tarot which had been born along with the Thoth count, and as such is the most appropriate one to use...
For those participating, do feel free to post thoughts, sigils, and other work as you see fit. I think this will be interesting, and good practice for us to synch up on magickal projects.
I envision the working to be a meditative exploration of the TC and also a discussion of each of these energies... It would be great to get as much input as possible into this. I have been working it for a while, although I still consider it to be an emerging technology. This would be a chance to 'test drive' it with a group of folk...

Okay. So here is how the operation will will work. Each day, participants will do a short meditation which will explore/charge one of the 22 different tarot sigils. Each of the sigils belongs on one of the paths of the tree, and if you are not familiar with this arrangement, I will detail it beforehand. The actual mediation will be conducted as follows:
Centre and ground.
Focus on sigil 'The Juggler'. Absorb energy from Juggler to act as key to the path in question. Once the juggler 'clicks', turn attention to image of the particular path. Situate yourself within the energy of that path in the form of the Juggler. Feel out the path, note any images that arise, and see it 'light up' on the tree of life. Exit the path, give it respect. Centre on the juggler, and ground this energy.
Over the course of the operation this sigil will act like a battery and be charged with all 22 energies. At the end of the 22 day period, the all the different energies will be combined in the Juggler sigil. This will be very powerful and can be used to charge a talisman, or otherwise 'fired'. Thus it is important to conduct the entire operation and not skip any paths, so that the Juggler is fully charged and ballanced.
Once you have grounded this energy, centre, and close the operation.
This is the basic ritual. Any questions?
If you have your own methods of opening the circle and such, use them, and do whatever else you like during this time.
Post observations and experiences in this post. Over the course of the working we will learn stuff we didn't know before. This is the fun of it. I will have stuff to add at different stages of the working, as there are a number of different 'regions' that we will pass through.
There is also the issue of weaving the Twinstar, and building the Abrahadabra grid. That is pretty straightforward. I'll discuss this further in another post... I think I'll also have a thing or two to say about the magickal calendar before we begin... That's it for now...

Well. First I open the circle. I usually ring a bell, and instead of drawing the circle from a particular point, I emanate it from me as if it were ripples on a pond, or a wave of energy coming out from my centre. Then I envision the circle as a wheel. THe wheel has eight nodes, and eight spokes. These represent the points of the year. I visualize myself first at the outer rim of the wheel (near where I would be in the year itself; ie which of the eight stations) then I draw then energy along the spokes to the hub of the wheel. I envision a tree growing like an axle through this hub. I would feel myself growing upwards and downwards at the same time, drinking the sunlight at my branches and drinking the deep water of the earth at my roots. The point is that you have a circle, and a point running through it. That point is fixed by the cross of the 4 directions and the eightfold wheel of spirit. This 'fixedness', centres you and enables you to ground energy into the central axis. Feeling out your roots plants you in your body, and reaching out your branches expands your mind. Picture the capacity to bear fruit as well, on these branches... At this point I usually envision an envelope of clean air being circulated through the tree, paying specific attention the the strength of the trunk and it's ability to ferry the fluid light up and down... (The roots/trunk/branches are analogous to T'ien, Ti and Jen). This envelope is like a bubble around the tree/wheel (Lingham/yoni). It forms an ecosystem in which various forms of life interlock and dance with one another. At this point I extend awareness to others, and picture a forest of trees, and share the clean air with them...
THis little bubble can easily also become a star (Merkabah tetrahedron styles) and the forest can be a star-field flowing along invisible lines of density...
I know this is sortof elaborate (But maybe not so much), but that is how I usually begin a simple operation... Then I would do the Twinstar stuff (In the star-body), and then the pathworking. Another option is, once you have emenated the circle to draw energy inwards along the path of the eleven circuit labyrinth, and of course to send it outwards upon closing. This is not always necessary, but affords a level of protection. A very soft, and extremely responsive form of shielding.
Pentagrams can be projected outwards to the eight directions too, m1 has a great method of doing this with the Lo Shu...
Basically, cast a circle, find the centre, make sure all your energy flows into your roots. That's the short way of describing it.

Yes. I'll post the sigil the day BEFORE. So today, I'll post both the juggler AND the Fool. I'll also write a bit on the calendar, on the abrahadabra component of the working, and on the reason and nature of the direction of the working (ie 0-XXI, as opposed to XXI-0)... It'll take a bit for me to compose these...

P.S. N.C. you can open, centre and ground ANY way you like... the whole key to this operation is that you work every path in order, is all... It has the added clout of synching up with the orbit of Mercury, is all. The important thing to know is the correct order of the paths on the tree, as in the Proximity Principle, and the tarot numbering. If you would prefer just to focus on the building of the grid, though, you can do that too. If you are familiar with how the twinstar unfolds in 22 stages, then pick a direction for the operation to go in (for you) and stay consistent with it over the 22 days. The tarot component of the operation focuses of supercharging the Juggler Atu with all 22 energies... if you wish to skip this part, you can just work on the grid, sure... OR you can draw your own tarot images on those days too. The most important thing is that if you start this operation, you should finish it, and should devote sometime consistently to it all 22 days... It's like a puzzle that requires all the pieces...

Okay... Since we are about to do this, and I assume not everyone has waded through the Thoth Count thread, here it is in a nutshell:
The Thoth Count is a calendar which I designed that is founded on the cycles of mercury. Mercury has an 88 day orbital period. It's North Node (Where it crosses the Sun's equator, projected outwards), or Vernal Equinox, is at about 18degrees Taurus. I obtained this information from the American Heliocentric Ephemeris. The 88 day period has no remainder to speak of, so there is no need for leap years or anything to keep the count accurate (there may be drift in the scale of hundreds or thousands of years... this will need to be investigated to a greater degree in the future). It is basically an 88 day repeating cycle. A few interesting points: any day in a given year in the Thoth Count, Mercury will be in the same sign/decan/quinance as in any other year; day 44, for example will always be the same in every year. This affords an astrological magic (With Shem-Ha-Mephorash) which would work very well with the minor arcana. I have not developed this yet.
The principal use of the calendar so far is to time pathworkings, as we are about to do. Since each year has four 22 day periods, these are assigned to Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, respectively. So 4 pathworkings in 4 worlds.
Right now, we are in 14/66, which means that today is the 66th day of the 14th year. That is, today is the LAST day of the third (air) month of this year. Tommorow is the first day of the fourth (Earth) month of the 14th Thoth year.
In addition, the years themselves are classed in groups of four, called 'clusters'. each cluster also follows the Fire/Water/Air/Earth order. The first four years were a cluster, the second four were a cluster, the third four were a cluster, and now we are in the fourth cluster. We are, today, completing the third month of the second year of the fourth cluster. Got it?
The clusters themselves are classed in 9's. That is, if you look at the Lo Shu, the first cluster was number 1, the second number 2, and so on... SO, as the calendar progresses, it draws the energy of the Lo Shu into it. I have noticed the most dramatic changes in the nature of this energy occur in the spaces in between clusters, and even more so in the spaces in between groups of three clusters, as one would expect from the Tai Hsuan Ching.
I know this is a bit complex, but if you have any questions, I will answer them gladly. The thing this calendar really does is lend *Momentum* to working with Abrahadabra, IMO. A calendar is a pretty major tool for regulating energy flows, and this one is perfectly suited to Abrahadabra, as I am sure you will discover. The groundwork has been laid, but there is still a ton of stuff to discover and to play with, here. For one thing, the Shem-Ha Mephorash connection which I mentioned above. Also, the Mercurial South Node and 'Day phenomenon' (Mercury's 'Day' is longer than it's year, from what I understand). Over the years, I think it will be possible to work out an extensive series of operations and concordances for every day of the year in the TC which will make the TC a very powerful magickal operation indeed. I am opening it up to you guys to explore it with me at this point, if you like...

About the *Direction* of our working. We are working the 0-XXI direction which has the connotation of Manifestation: moving from simplicity to embodiment. The other direction (Which I have used more often) is from XXI to 0, which is the Ascendence operation. It should be understood that even though we are working one of these currents (We are descending on the tree), that the other current is Implicitly ascending at the same time... So, when we are in '0', the Fool, there will be an unconscious 'counter current' that is charging 'XXI', the Universe. At this point I have decided that we do NOT need to make this any more complicated, so we are just going to concentrate on doing the 0-XXI sequence. At a later stage, we could work the other direction, which gives a different sort of experience. At the advanced level, we would work *both directions at once*. This is actually the real power of this way of working: one ascends and manifests at the same time. If there were alot of people following the calendar, we could have 'teams' where one team would work the 0-XXI current in one season, and the XXI-0 current in the other season, while the second team would do the opposite, working the XXI-0 first, and then the 0-XXI, next) The result would be two interlacing magickal threads which undulate in ballance with one another through time... These are the twin snakes of the cadeucus, and the *double power* of Abrahadabra. Okay. Is this clear to everybody? We will only be working from 0-XXI for now, so you can get an idea of what this is about.
In a way, you don't really need to know any of this in order to do the operation, but it is important background info that will make more sense as we proceed. Back to basics, all we need to do is go sequentially through the ATU from the Fool to the Universe in the next 22 days.

P.S. If you wish to know why I am so insistent on certain ATU numbers over others (the Strength/Justice polarity), it has to do with the twinning of the two currents. For example, let's look at the hebrew alphabet, as an ordering sequence: Take the first and the last letters: Aleph and Tau. The first is the Fool, the second, the Universe. The Fool is 0, the Universe XXI. The total is XXI. Also, if you look at the second letter Beth, and the second last, Shin, you find the ATU numbers I and XX, also total XXI. And so on through ALL the numbers... This is a very important feature of this operation, because it means that the combined resonance of the two currents is ALWAYS XXI; the Universe. When done in this way, the operation is entirely self-grounding. It always leaves you basically where you actually are. One runs into trouble when Strength is considered to be XI, and Justice VII, because this switch of numbers breaks the symmetry, and thus we have a region, at the heart of the operation which does not resonate to XXI but instead ruptures the ballance (try it out, using the alphabet at the measure). The thing with the number XXI and the reason I wish to preserve it throughout is because the number 21 is also the mystic sum of 6 (Tipareth). (1+2+3+4+5+6)=21. This allows us to extract a hexagram from each 21. THUS, since the total of the two currents creates 11 pairings of ATU, each which total XXI, we have Eleven such hexagrams. I don't have to elaborate on that, I am sure. I think it is also elegant that since each pairing consists of an upward moving ATU and a downward moving ATU, the symbolism of two interlaced triangles, in the magen star; one 'male' and one 'female', is very appropriate. As you can see I have taken pains to make this structure work out to be very much in the service of dynamic equilibrium. To Maat this is dedicated.

Okay. So we have outlined the process as 'Open:Centre and ground, invoke Juggler, invoke Specific Path, thank and dismiss path, ground juggler, Close:Centre and ground whole operation'. This is a simple as it needs to be.
The other part of the operation is raising the grid. We start on the first day with A, on the second with AB, then ABR, and so on... I will indicate this in the posts. THis is very easy after 11 days we will have fully expanded the Abrahadabra formula. The next 11 days we will Start at ABRAHADABRA, then ABRAHADABR, ABRAHADAB, and so on... Simple enough. Use the grid, and make a note of when the points of the Tetractys emerge.
Lastly, the Twinstar. Let's be on the same page for this. We will start with the widdershins Twinstar, for the first 11 days, then move to the diosil version. In all 22 days, we will complete the twinstar, through two 'circuits'.
As an aside, if we were using both 'currents' as I mentioned above, one would start widdershins and the other diosil, and tehn they would switch after 11 days. This would have the effect of producing a full twinstar every 11 days, half of which was traced by the Ascending team, and half of which was produced by the manifesting team. Powerful and elegant... Both the twinstars could then be interlaced at the end of the operation to form a magen-star. As it stands, and we are only doing the Manifesting direction, we will produce a single Twinstar triangle...
Okay. That's about it. The practice would look like: Open. Work grid. Work Twinstar. Juggler. Pathwork. Juggler. Close.
Does this make sense? Does anyone have any suggestions or observations at this point. This is the whole operation as I envision it.

Day 1 is done, in a Riccikindofway.
Probably not as you intended and I got a bit confused about what I was to do when and how, but I did get it all done.
My juggler glyph turned into a real juggler and he became my friend and showed me what to do. He told me a secret and gave me a present, I know you aren't supposed to accept nice things from strangers but he seemed kind and friendly.
My friendly juggler decided to walk along the path with me and among the things we saw were a bird and the sun rising and some indications that we were going on a journey covering new ground.
My friend instructed me to take a piece of something that looked like a ball of energy and put it towards the holding talisman. There were other things but I doubt they are that relevant at the moment.
There were some interesting terms used and things said, but I think I will hold onto those for now.
I have a question too: are we going all the way round the Twin Star each day or just sitting on the chosen number?

Okay. My partner and I worked the path together. We opened, centred and grounded, and activated the top point of the grid as well as the first point of the twinstar. She is going diosil, and I widdershins, so that between the two of us a twinstar will be made every 11 days...
I forsaw a journey, larger than I know... mountains first, then a dark space, then a Green city, then a home. Then a return to the wanderers footsteps. This is when I will know it is complete (and open for renewal).
As the Juggler also I saw I had a different task; to purify each energy and to draw some of each into a single container to let them brew together. This journey is the juggler's mission, it would seem.
In response to mythmath I also focused on the Universe, though as a present energy rather than as a formal dual pathworking. As such I saw the state of consciousness/being that was the counterpole of the Fool, and that as I began the journey, the goal moves towards me. Also at some point, we will switch positions... there will be a reversal of perspective.
So I post the universe as well, for those who care to tap into the double energy which is always present with this Tarot:

I will post the polar energy in each case, so you can sense that as we descend the tree from 0-XXI, there is also a rising current from XXI-0. In this case, the world, or universe is on the 32nd path, between Yesod and Malkuth.
Tommorow, we walk Atu I, the Magician. This is between Kether and Binah. As before, our access glyph is the Juggler. The energies of all the Atu will be amalgamated in the Juggler. The polar to the magician is the Aeons, between Hod and Malkuth.

Note, the titles of trumps for me is fluid. So also is the symbolism I will most likely make a new sigil tarot in the future... the sigils can morph and change... they are alive.

Key point was the idea of purification and that side of the tree being not so much the way it is as the way we react to it.

Okay. We just did the working, and it went very well. It became easier to 'assume the god form' of the Juggler, now that he/she/it has been charged with the energy of the fool (And the universe).
Upon entering the magician, I felt myself enclosed in a protective space, and the prescence of the EYE, as well as the power to bless this journey. Ganesha was present, and I payed homage by offering the milk of my love and respect. The test was to encounter a negative image of ganesh which was portrayed in a book I read when his power of sanctifying beginnings was abused by 'Jack the Ripper'. Recognizing that he could be abused, I gave my pledge that my respects to ganesha were to nourish and empower him, and such to undo damage cause by misuse. I felt his power was regenerated. finally I saw the cadeucus as a vehicle, which carries the magickal will, just as the empowered circle protects and sanctifies the magicians trajectory. The power is a purified dual energy of force and form; twin serpent which arouse awarness. Om Ha!
Yes, ricci. It is very much about purification. This whole operation is cleansing in a deep way, I feel, just as a long foot-journey purges the soul and clears the spirit. The four elements are purified BY spirit, and Atu XX feeds and supports ATU I. Let it be so!

The Tarot is protected by the labyrinth. It may be approached by any, but only fully accessed by those willing totally to be transformed by it's energy. There is a test involved, which is different for everyone. The same labyrinth protects the Thoth count. Each 'ring' is like a ripple, and a 'buffer'. We are now in the second ring from the outside of the labyrinth. Read these words and you may know... walk the path and you will understand. Understand, and you will find wisdom in silence. Let it be so. Written and concealed. Om Ra Ha. Om Ha Ha Om...

Its from Kether to Tipareth, my appologies... It's the High Priestess, with the Sun being the polar...
Interesting that you are not getting visuals, Frater... Mind you the glyphs are very 'small' in a sense... not quite the same as a big tarot card pathworking. There is less 'given'. I find that it might help to try and connect with the energy of the glyph in Atziluth, and then the Beriatic visuals should start to flow more... Let me know if that helps...
I have actually found these trumps to be obscure as well, but there is something there... Anyone else finding this difficult?

Of course... What I mean it, the TwinStar is performed in two 'loops': an 11-beat widdershins, and and 11 beat diosil, right? this means that if you are doing it solo, the twinstar takes 22 days to fully trace. If however, you do it with a partner, the whole thing can be completed in 11 days. In the same way, if you do this type of pathworking with a partner who is doing the opposite 'current'. The whole tree is activated in 11 days, as well. Then over the course of the full 22 day period, the twinstar is traced fully twice, which means that at the end of the working the whole operation is summable into a 'magen star' hexagram... Right?
I knew you were only going in one direction, and properly speaking that is what we ARE actually doing here; a mono-directional working... MythMath did express that he wished to try both directions, and I have a hard time avoiding bringing both currents into play, since well, I am energetically engaged in both...
I hope it is clear, and simple and that you guys get something out of it... Please don't hesitate to ask any questions and such...
I am learning a great deal from this trip too, as many of my ideas about how to work this thing are becomming clearer... it's a slow growing plant in a way... I 'birthed' it four or five years ago, but only now am really starting to see how to use it. It is VERY good for doing workings with two people; one who plays the Sun, and one who plays the Moon...

So, for my pathworking of Atu II, we opened as usual and brought the juggler into awareness. The pathworking itself felt like I was being washed... there was a strong current running from Kether to Tipareth, and Tipareth was blooming like a sun-rose.... A strong sense of Love. What to offer the Priestess? Nothing less than your life on the line for the truth will do, it seems. I felt this energy running through my genetically as well, protecting, washing stabilizing my/our code... this place is very very sacred.

I offer you tommorow's working, which is 'The Woman' (or the mother; ex-empress). She runs between Chochmah and Binah, and completes the first 'triad' of our working. These triads tend to become self-stabilizing energy circuits. Those which are ballanced between the two pillars deal with consciousness, those offset to the left deal with forms/darkness, and those offset to the right deal with forces/light. When I developed the numbering system and attributions about four years ago, I did not know of this tarot. This man is Maatian as well, and so it seems that I tapped into this tarot structure which he worked with 20 years prior... His tarot will sing true on the Thoth Count. (I developed though thoth count when I first started connecting with the Maat current), so finding this tarot was a bit of a revelation and a re-assurance that I was on the right track... It might give you more 'flesh' to tap into...

Day 3 was intriguing.
I was trotting off down the path to Tiphareth and I had to mind the vortex, it didn't even look big, but apparently it could swallow me up, so I was to watch out for any dips or holes in the path and walk round them.
When I got to Tiphareth, it was the most unexpected surprise, the most interesting place ever. I probably couldn't do it justice here, so if I just say that it presented itself as a key position and all encompassing in all kinds of ways.

Worked the path of Venus. Saw the birth of the Buddha out of the ocean... 7 steps on 7 blooming lotuses, and then the Buddha lets out the 'lions roar', which is silent, but made of light; it resonates the three horizontal paths which enumerate to 93; Daleth, Teth, Peh.
The ankh is the key of Venus. Drawn upon the tree, it makes a loop 1,2,4,6,5,3. And a cross 6&10, 7&8, The key opens the Gate (daleth-malkuth(TROA)). The tetractys (Daleth) forges the link. A direct passage is made from heaven to earth. The gods are able to walk the earth, we are able to walk with the gods... It is done, the door is open... Guarded by ABRAHADABRA itself.
THis experience of the mother was more intellectual than I have experienced before... IT also feels more like a definite deed has been done; the opening of the door.
Also, insight into the juggler itself; very volitile, hope you brought your patience and common sense...

Ah, thanks for reminding me... it is easy for me to forget to cover the basics... The Star runs from Chockmah to Chesed. This is path 15, and it should be noted is actually one of the paths which we have chosen to adjust according to the proximity principle. You will not find path 15 here in most common arrangements, as it usually is depicted going from Chockmah to Tipareth... Also the Star as Atu IV is a fairly rare thing as well. In most standard arrangements the Emperor is seen as ATU IV... I basically completed a move that Crowley began when he switched the letter attributions to the Star and the Emperor. I followed his drift, about removing the arbitrary patriarchal demiurgic 'Because', but I found his solution half-assed and problematic (Not the least of the reasons being that his switch was a 'solution' to what I consider to be a non-existent problem as regards VIII & XI).... It might take a bit if you are accustomed to other methods, but the Star as IV is quite a satisfying and logical attribution, especially in light of what we do here with the tetractys and magen stars... I know that was more than you asked for, but I think it's worth pointing out to those to whom this varient is unusual... Anibis is basically not into dictatorships very much, and does his best to re-program the metaphysics that support them... ;)

Day 5 was carefree.
My juggler and I skipped and sang as we went off to Chesed. It was a lovely spring day and when we arrived at a surprisingly small venue compared to the greatness of Tiphareth yesterday, we were nurtured and given supplies, all very peaceful. I can still see the blue skies and feel the lightness of it.

A much more subdued working today... I did tap into the 'star holon' however... Envision the star like a holographic patterning system, if you tap into it, it will flow into the rythmes and unfoldings that occur in your life. I saw several different sorts of star too; Eightfold star as a general patterning, fivefold stars as individual patternings... The juggler works rather extensively with this one... weaving and unfolding patterns...
In many ways this really does still behave like the emporer; it forms a template for consciousness and directed energy... It 'rules' so to speak, but since it flows into chesed, rather than tipareth it is more concerned with governance patterns, and subtle pathways (which eventually reach Malkuth via Tetractys) Essentially it is like a lotus of psycho-social energy... 'rising' to dominance means less that you become 'ruler over others' and more that you become capable of being truly and legitimately self governing, a quality which evokes the same in others... There was only one Emperor but there are gazillions of stars... each a true system...
I felt this find its way into my life... not very huge and thundering but bright and true...
The Juggler continues to draw off the chafe in each path and contain them in a vessel. The vessel is both multiple and unary: it is silmultaneously many little bottles and one big bottle. It is beggining to bloom however, and reactions are occuring within it... I see little sparkles amid the mixed muck...

Day 6 finds us thoughtful.
We find ourselves walking along a hidden path in woodland, it is fairly shady and the greenery is fresh.
At tiphareth, there is a gathering and we listen to a seminar, nearly everyone has been handed an envelope of some kind with a picture of a key on the front and we are told that each one of us has a secret mission and each will leave by one of the many exits. We are cautioned to know, to will, to dare and to keep silent; there is a unifying ritual and a sign given; immediately after this, we leave in an atmosphere of unity and peace.

I just worked the path of the Teacher. I felt myself inside a chamber (the school/tower) where I asked for what I most need to learn. I felt an influx and stream of knowledge flowing through me, like I was downloading all the books ever written; many different languages and scripts flowed throught me, very fast, and I felt them brewing in my subconscious till I was overflowing, then much like in the vision of the High Priestess, the knowledge that I was tapping into flowed into rivulets and, it seems into other people. The actual torrent ceased to flow through me, and grounded itself in the others... I realized they would eventually take what they had recieved and tap into the source directly, so I was, in a sense 'relieved' of the duty of being the channel... I stepped outside of this library and watched the sky and the plains... seems like once you have accquired the knowledge you need, the best thing to do is relax and watch nature...
It occured to me that the Hierophant and the Priestess are much the same: she flows intuition, he flows knowledge. Both lead to Tipareth: that's where the delta must brach off: or at least when the flow comes out 'below the abyss'... seems that you can will a single thing above the abyss which manifests as many different things below it... curious...

There are some pieces of information I should share with you... in the Teachers hand he holds a 'mitre' or a triple armed cross. This represents the middle pillar and the three horizontals... If you take the ATU ascribed to all 6 of these paths, and add the Hebrew letters (Daleth, Gimel, Teth, Ayin, Peh, and Tau) and then take the 6 polar Atu, and add their letters: (Qoph, Resh, Nun, Zain, Vau, and Aleph), then you have all the letters that would appear on those 6 paths if you ran the alphabet first forward through the 22 (11-32 on the key scale,PP) paths, and then backward (Much like Achad's reversal of the serpent of wisdom). If you total these letters you will get the number 930, which is of course 9x10. Since these 6 paths connect all 10 sepheroth, one could see 93 vibrating in each sphere. This structure is what I call the 'Mitre of Thelema'. It only works if you use the Proximity Principle.
There is another piece I need to tell you guys, and it relates to th labyrinth... remember when we paired all the Hebrew letters: Aleph with Tau, Beth with Shin, and so on (as if you could forget; I do not shut up about it!). This results in 11 pairs of ATU which total XXI if you don't count the order of the letters, and 22 pairs if you do include order. There is an operation which can be used to explore these pairs. What you do is subtract the lower number from the higher, and calculate the difference. Tor example, our Atu, the Hierophant is V, and it's polar, the tower is XVI. It's difference is 11, so Justice. XI's polar is X, and the difference is I, the Magician. I is paired with XX, the Aeons, and the difference is XIX, the Sun... etc...
I won't spell it out yet, but if you start with The Fool, and perform this operation on it until it loops back to the Fool (not long, since 0/XXI actually refers back to itself), and then you apply this principle to all the ATU, you will discover a rather remarkable pattern which is akin to what you find in the nuclear trigrams of the I ching. Try it... I'll explain more as we go... Try to find the different independent 'loops' of numbers which cycle through the same ATU over and over again....

The juggler acts like a lover opening doors for me and helping me with everything, we have fun playing this as we move from the caves dark tunnels with our key. Eventually we find our door and we are led back to Tiphareth where there is a talk about Rites of Passage, we are told to remember that there are many kinds of entry which maybe astral doorways or in the material world things like baptism, walking through fire or gaining certification. We are given a crystal as our Rite of Passage to the next point.

I am about to intitiate the working.. things have been nuts... I did realize however that the lovers should run to Gevurah, not Tipareth... always check my work against the standard... SO, the lovers run to gevurah, and the Chariot (next path) runs to Tipareth. Anyhow... my brain does strange backwards flips sometimes, so the best thing I can say is figure out the logic and double check in case I am being dislexic... I'lll be back shortly (Worked non-stop all day)...

So I just worked the path.... What I learned was that here is where the DNA code is formed... THe hexagram is a protective buffer for DNA and ensures it is protected and harmonized. This was the principle lesson of the path...
A word about the juggler in light of the mistake I made... Sometimes even the magus drops a ball. There is only one way to handle this. Pick it up and juggle some more... We are what we become...

I did realize however that the lovers should run to Gevurah, not Tipareth... always check my work against the standard...
I had no idea there was a mistake and no idea what the standard should be so no good me checking it out really lol
Anyway I have reworked it, but come to think of it did notice how hard it was to find the right door to the path last night so maybe that was some very limited background reading somewhere playing in the back of my mind telling me it may be the wrong one.

Day 7 is a reworking.
My dear friend and I easily find a door at the end of a dark tunnel, it leads out onto the side of a hill or mountain, which looks like it has been sliced; the only way up is a rope ladder. We climb and eventually reach the top and find ourselves on top of a mountain with sheer drops most of the way round. The day is sunny if a little windy, but we enjoy the outstanding views and notice over the great chasm, another mountain top, though it seems flat like ours. There is a slight sense of being caught there as we realize that we are going to have to wait for a map or help to return.
Eventually we find a little hidden door and steps back down to the tunnel and the waiting begins; the sense of restriction has lessened but still noticeable

Don't forget to work the Chariot today too... the error is no big deal, just something to correct. Most important is that you get some sense of every ATU. Sorry again for the slip... Old habits die hard it seems... the path of the Lovers goingfrom Binah to Tipareth is pretty much standard in most decks, and I used it for years... When I chose to adopt the PP, I switched this path with the One running from Binah to Gevurah. SO now, the lovers run in the latter, the chariot in the former... Cheers... I don't have as crazy a day today so I'll be able to post in the afternoon. The real key to this path is the word Abrahadabra...

This (http://www.abrahadabra.com/proximity.principle.htm) is where you would check the standard against. The pathworking runs in order from path 11 to path 32. SO, the fool is 11, the Magician is 12, the priestess 13.... and so on. ALL you need to do is run the numbers 0-22 (The Atu numbers), along these paths to know where each Atu will be found. Equally, you can run the numbers backwards from 32 if for example you wish to know that Atu XVI is on the 27th path... I hope this helps...

Okay, I worked the chariot. Partially because of ricci's last report I found myself in a winged chariot flying over the mountains... The peaks are flat because they are landing pads... I pick up ricci and take her to where she needs to go... Mostly I sensed the elation and stillness of super fast mobility. From here, using the chariot, I can fly very fast to more or less anywhere on the tree: such is the nature of the formula of abrahadabra. I see a whole range of mountains which I can traverse swiftly. Furthermore, I sense the alchemist; the core 'feul' of this flying chariot is clean... it produces water. Yes people... my chariot seems to have a hydrogen fuel cell!
The bottle of bottles is starting to become very fragrent. I sense that I could manufacture a 'flying potion' from it at this time, but that I should hold off until all paths have been 'sampled' into the bottle(s).
The reason of course that that formula of Abrahadabra is so potent here is because the Hebrew letter Cheth is assigned to this trump. Cheth numbers 8, but when spelled in full Cheth-Yod-Tau (Maning 'fence') it enumerates to 418. This Atu is thus the primary seat of abrahadabra on the tree itself...

Atu III and Atu XVIII produce Atu XV, Atu XV and Atu VI produce Atu IX. Atu IX and Atu XII Produce Atu III. The cycle repeats from here. I call this the 'Mother/Ocean' circuit.
Atu VIII and Atu XIV cycle into one another again. I call this the 'Chariot/Alchemist' Circuit.
Let us assign the figure '@' to the Fool/Universe Circuit, the figure 'o' to the Magus/Aeon Circuit, the figure '$' to the Chariot/Alchemist Circuit, and the figure 'x' to the Mother/Ocean Circuit.
Now asuming we lay out the trumps from left to right going from 0-XXI, and istead of the numbers, just indicate what circuit the trum is a member of, we get a 'sentence' that looks like this:

You will note that beautiful as it is, the Thoth Deck will not support these symmetries, and I don't recommend it's application to the TC... It is a bit to 'leaky' a vessel for the long range voyages the TC is designed to take... (But thanks for posting it! :))

There is the issue of the 8/11 switch... I'm very big on that. I don't wish to come off too strong, but that is the principle reason I don't work the Thoth deck... Actually the Rider-waite deck is preferable to me architecturally, except that I actually really do support the Switch of the Star/Emperor which i think was a brilliant move... I just took it to the next level and exchanges the numbers AND assigned zodiac as well as just the letters... So with the Thoth Deck, I owe it much, but I consider it unsuitable for the sort of workings (Maatian) that I typically perform... Still, It's totally cool to post it no problems... Just know where I stand is all, I guess...

If you were to take the Crowley trumps and assign them to the Hebrew letters, then run the letters from Aleph through Tau on the paths 11-32, you would get the ATU sequence:
0, 1, 2, 3, 17, 5, 6, 7, 11, 9, 10, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 4, 18, 19, 20, 21....
The reason for this inelegant arrangement is that Crowley chose to accept the numbering of the Marseilles deck (which is blinded) and accords Strength the number 11, and Justice the number 8. If you were to just lay out the Hebrew alphabet along the paths, and then assign the trumps from 0-21 accordingly, Teth would be 8, and Lamed 11. There is no compelling logic to accept the Marseilles style switch, except that it is 'tradition'. In fact, it shows its in-elegance when you pair the letters in the Athbash style: First with Last second with second last, etc... since the corresponsing trump total will always be 21, except in the case of those paths which were so switched. Crowley chose this arrangement for his own reasons I am sure, but in order to compensate for this and add 'symmetry', he 'switched' the Star and the Emperor. In the Book of Thoth, he writes of this saying that it has created a double loop in the zodiac and all... It seems to be the case at first that this is true, but on closer investigation, there is NO symmetry to this move, since the first move was to switch NUMBERS, and Crowleys compensation was to switch LETTERS only... These are very different classes of things. It's as if to ballance a bookshelf on which all the books are to one side, you were to move a candlestick to the opposite end of a table from the lopsided shelf! Why not just move the books? However, there is a certain genius to his 'discovery'... The Star and the Emperor ARE polar opposites, so to switch them on the level of the letters actually does NOT disturb the symmetry of the deck. What this means then, is that we could discard the 8/11 switch, which has no supporting logic, and STILL find a use for Crowley's switch. In order to do it full justice though, we would wish, I think, not just to exchange Heh and Tzaddi between the Emperor and the Star, but actually fully exchange all the symbolism... This means that we would leave the numbers and letters and astrological associations to the 15th path intact, since they are all layed out logically(I could explain this in detail, but its a bit much for this post), and simply transpose the star image with the emperor image, adjusting their meaning to the new symbolism accordingly... As a result the entire logic of the layout of numbers, letters and paths remains totaly intact, but a 'new story' is told about masculinity, humanity, and sacred geometry. As far as I can tell this is the best response to Liber Al's 'Tzaddi is not the Star' that I can find, and that passage may be the only real reason why someone would do this: unless of course they simply prefered the new arrangement, as I do.... This is the short version... I don't like 'mysteries' for the sake of being arbitrary... I like the accesibility of an accesible logic in a system of symbols, even though the actually narrative one tells with such a system is more aesthetic than logical. Does this make sense, or should I go into more detail? The actual process of assigning letters to paths, then elemental correspondances to letters, then Atu to the whole lot of them is what I am talking about here... I for one, in sorting these knots out have found suprising symmetries and hidden properties that would otherwise be impossible. This seems like vindication enough... The lattice of four circuits which I have shown above is quite worth the adjustments in my opinion. Cheers;

In working Strength I felt the whole working fold up upon itself and take the form of a radiant (and volitile) Lion's head. THis card harnesses this power so in a sense is the power supply of the Chariot. This plays out in the fact that 'Teth' spelled in full, meaning 'serpent' enumerates to 419, which is of course 418 (Abrahadabra) plus 1 (The wand, or focus)... The fire of conciousness projects down the tree towards Malkuth causing the lines of force (energy) to converge there.
The juggler 'cleansed' this path and it was in fact a much more intensive process than before. Much muck had to be drawn off until the path consisted only of a solar glow in a dark space... The juggler's potion is getting pretty potent, but is not for drinking yet...

Day 9 was energetic.
Myself and my dear juggler friend took off on bicycles on an open road. We came to a crossroads so we left our bikes there and took a path up the hill in front of us.
It was quite sunny when we left, but then a few clouds formed and a light wind picked up.
We arrived on top of the flat mountain as before; by now it was very windy and there were storm clouds almost overhead. It started to rain heavily and we battled the elements for a while then took shelter in the cave as before.

This was the first of the paths truly 'below the abyss'.. It's character, I think is the ethical management of power.... You will note that the three horizontal paths are very much about 'levels of consciousness'. I think it also should be noted that the pathworking is also divided into three regions: An upper face, a lower face, and a Bridge, or 'pivot'. The upperf face deals with abstracts, the lower with concretes, and the Bridge with ethical issues and matters of character. Finishing this path, Strength, completes the upper face (11-19(Just as it's polar, Death, concludes the lower face (24-32))... The Bridge constitutes Paths 20-23. The Bridge itself is shaped as an 'M', and if you do the gematria of it, you will find that Mem+Lamed+Kaph+Yod is totals 100, which is a rathe 'neat' sum for the central 4 paths. In a sense, I consider the most vital part of a working to occur here, since one must draw almost entirely off ones own resources to secure it. I term this 'M' The pivot of Maat. So this will be our next destination, starting tommorow. If you are keeping track of ABRAHADABRA and the TwinStar you will note that today we are on 'Abrahadab', and that after the next two paths, the Grid will be fully emanated.

I haven't got a jar full of muck, I have been given lots of nice little gifts but when I shook my container, the gifts were still good but there was some sand in the bottom, so I asked for it all to be turned into liquid so that I could pour it through a strainer, plenty of liquid and a few tea leaves or other leaves, not much waste yet at all.
PS I did turn the liquid back into my nice presents : )

Hasn't it... well props... When I look at these sigils, I think about how I will evolve them, and change them and play them out over time. I encourage you all to do this too, or make your own images that you connect with.. The point of this tarot is to feel tarot like a WAND.... which is to say, feel what it is like to write tarot rather than just read it.... I wanted a set of symbols and meditations that would encourage people (By their simplicity) to actually design, draw, cultivate their own symbols... think of this as a Tarot Hatchery....

Okay, so I worked the path of the wheel. The key theme here was actually economy, in many senses... I came to a great city, and unlocked it's gates with the key of venus... it was thriving and just opening its doors to the world... from it power, and money flowed to all the spheres through the paths... at the centre of the city was a temple where preist-rulers dwell. The temples sign is an 11 steped ziggurat with a crescent and sun atop it... I encountered this sign long ago. It is on the top of the temple... I was offered a position amongst them, but chose to wander and act as a non-enthroned protector of this city.... I empowered however to enter the city at will, and am respected there. I am principaly concerned with facilitating justice and balance in the running of the kingdom. As the juggler, I managed to distill a very bright potion; very powerful... I do not consume it at the moment... The juggler distills each path into a power... before I use the powers, I allow the entire process to complete. The powers themselves will be distilled to produce a further substance... elixer.
Tommorow we work the Balance. From now on I won't post the pics, since they are already all up. So just look at the polars from the previous workings... Atu XI, from Gevurah to Tipareth...

I just worked 'The Ballance'. Drawing the grid back up... In encountering Maat, I take Thoth form, who acts as spouse/husband to Maat... In particular I draw in every ounce of my karma, not a speck more, nor a speck less. I am told that it is 'greedy' to take on the burden of other's karma... an interesting thought... ANyhow the container very exactly contains me, and only me, and that and that alone is what is weighed, and worked upon. I feel myself wearing a peacock's plume. The Juggler produces a potion which may dissolve illusion. It is very caustic, and needs be used with care... sortof like acid/universal solvent...

My juggler is in serious mood today and immediately upon appearing presents me with a book, open somewhere in the middle by the looks of it.
We start the descent from the mountain under a starry sky; it is cold, we are carrying our books and the atmosphere is quiet and reflective.
At Tiphareth, we are to learn a creed of some kind, maybe our own personal credo. We are instructed to meditate deeply and add to it. The accent is on rooting out our fallibilities and building on our strengths, which maybe be community strenghts as well as personal ones.
We meditate and consider things until dawn.

Looks like I lost a day, but in my notebook I didn't so lets call this Day 13.
Juggler and I are going from the mountain at Geburah to Hod. We get a cable car down the other side of the hill and catch a train. We alight at a small station and enter a forest but there are not paths, only boulders, rocks and pine trees. We sometimes stumble and and slip.
We see a bay ahead but no way down to it. We need to have hope and trust and be of good faith.

Day 14 is nostalgic.
Today, my juggler carried my gifts as they are mounting and getting heavier.
The message today was to leave behind the old or unfitting and move into unknown and new things.
We looked behind to see the sun setting on old familiar vistas and we took our old clothes to a charity shop in the city. We were giving up anything that was not longer useful or relevant and we knew nothing about what awaited us.

Day 15 is overcast.
Juggler and I take a boat over the lake to the forest.
The sky is overcast and there are large raindrops that fall occasionally. A wind has picked up and the waters are a little choppy.
There is a cabin in the forest and there we are to make plans, set firm foundations and be sure about our goals for there are obstacles and difficulties to be overcome. We are to make preparations and go through the ups and downs with our minds set towards the destination.

Th Alchemist lives in a tower of his own he makes potions and is reponsible for releasing them into the energy stream of the tree principally he works on cleansing it's circulation system. The body's glands secrete hormones in certain rythmes. Can a healthy time-cycle give us access to this?
The potion produced by the juggler assists in the intuitive identification of substances, their combinations and transformations....
This Atu governs the meta-art of potion making in general throughout the tree.

You might wonder what it is depicting... This is actually related to an old Buddhist parable which goes like this:
A monk finds three bowls. One is overturned, one is filled with decaying muck, and another has a hole in it. The monk then procedes to turn the upside down bowl rightside up, clean out the bowl with poison in it, and then, takes all three, and nests them together such that the hole is plugged. After this the monk recieves an offering of rice in the threefold bowl.
These represent methods of dealing with the three 'root poisons': Greed, delusion and hatred. The first bowl is delusion, corrected by right thinking, the second bowl is hatred corrected by cleansing, and right action. The third bowl is greed, corrected by achieving satisfaction. The corrected bowls are then: Clarity, Vigor, and Satisfaction, and the rice is inspiration and sustinance...
In this case the alchemist, who blends opposites, comprises an apparatus of operation to transmute the 'root poisons' which necessitate unnecesarry suffering, and transform them into three powerful attainments that strengthen the autonamous being of the boddhisattva/tzaddik/adept. Let it be so!

I worked the Horned One... It strikes me: the Devil is what keeps us honest. I focus on my darkness and look the devil in the eye. Every flaw of mine comes under single pointed focus. It is the Prick on the end of the pin... the tip of the spear.... all lines focus on my flaws... Buddha rides the Goat... A potion of charisma is produced. Day 16 is earthy.
My dear juggler and I put our gumboots on and walk through a muddy field to get to the beach. Here we take them off and let the waves touch our toes. There is a contrast between the mud and the clean water and we are to consider cleansing and the washing away of the kinds of things that hold us back - the mud of our lives. There is a also the dark colour of the mud and the clearness of the water and there is never one without the other. It is a continual process.

Day 17 is unexpected.
We take public transport from the city to near the forest, then trek to the cabin.
Its snowing and cold.
We cannot find the warm cabin that was there previously and we are having to rebuild a shelter from an old ruined hut. It is arduous but we make a ramshackle temporary place to get us through the day. In fact, it all works but is not what we expected.
There is a message here about preconceived ideas and expectations. Changes can happen suddenly.

I had a vision of being helped by a firm grip to climb up onto the first step of a great, floating tower (of babel). The hand's grip is masonic, and is commited to helping me get onto this foundation. There is Enormous love and loyalty here. After this I must climb a stair which spirals around the tower to its apex, where there is me, sitting in lotus position, like those mountaintop gurus... the answer man... ("Can you answer? Yes I can, what would be the answer to the Answer man..." Grateful Dead: St Steven.) I am to steer the flying tower to a hole in the ground and land it there. 8 gold bolts, one in each of the 8 directions locks the tower down, and then I enter. I have seen this before when walking the Magician. I am at the centre of this tower and my energy awakens it and suffuses it. My priestess and I bring the tower to life and in a great sphere, all around trees grow and a wasteland is reclaimed by green growth. The tower projects a field which protects this kingdom. As the Juggler, I make a potion of concentration... it is not quite ready yet... all the potions need time to settle, to ripen, thus we do not drink them during this working... These potions represent the powers inherent in each path which the juggler is able to tap into and cultivate in his being...

An interesting working. I see 'The Man' as a sort of inspirational philosopher/poet inventor. In this case, operating from this path, all the others were somewhat enlightened, inspired I then has an image of being clothed in what looked like starlight and was a monk... the strange thing was that I was with others and we faced a being made of shadow and darkness some worshipped it, but other saw it as a dark energy to be meditated on. I saw it crystalizing, and I recalled the story of the Tzaddik, which I had forgotten; The bodhisattva-like figure who travels to the abyss to rescue sparks, to restore them to the human whole. So this in a sense was what happened; the fearsome being was treated with dignity, yet without subservience or fear, and simply became an opportunity to heal imballance, much like the beings of light at the end of the film 'The Dark Crystal'. This path is preeminently that of the energy of tikkun (restoration). A neat thing to remember. I felt like part of the human was restored in this process. 'The Star' is that total body, each 'man' is like a fractal sub-star which locks into the great star. Independent, and yet singular.
The juggler makes a potion which heals souls; a potion of soul re-growth and regeneration. This is well needed medicine, I think.

Day 19 is beautiful
My lovely juggler and I take a long ride through open countryside, through tunnels and past rocky outcrops until we reach the underwater world, it is like a Sea Life Centre.
We are seeing life forms much older than man and a natural existence; appearing simple yet beautifully constructed and complex. There is more to what we can see, feel, hear, taste, touch and smell.
The existences extend further and we are invited to explore them.

Visiting the ocean I go, perhaps for the first time, totally underwater. I have a divers suit on, but at other times I am breathing the water itself. At first I encounter various chatter, different creatures and stuff. I return to my surface, a boat, but then I go deeper again and find an underwater cave, going DEEP down, I encounter a large pyramidical Ameoba, inspired from the Illuminatus trilogy. Leviathan. A single message, a pulse goes into me and I open all my inner channels to let it pass. Some are a little clogged, it seems, but they respond.... I takes this new energy with me to the surface.
A juggler makes a potion of dream vision. I am inclined to believe I may be closer to dream consciousness than I normally think of myself as...

Juggler and I wait for the storm to subside and step out of the cabin into a fresh forest; it has rained heavily but now the sun is out and we proceed through wet flora on a path that takes us to a river. We take a small boat and sail down to the delta. After anchoring, we walk towards the coast.
The message is: Make hay whilst the sun shines. Listen deeply. As usual, I receive a gift and add it to my now large collection.

Today we are crossing a meadow with little yellow flowers in the long grass here and there. We are approaching roughter terrain and become aware of sand and stones. It reminds us of the earht and that all returns to dust.
We are to consider where we came from and our earthly make up.

Juggler and I are on the beach and after taking an underwater pod exploring the sea, we return to track through a cave with a few others. It is long and narrow. Eventually, we come to a cavern. There is a trickle of water, the movement of warm air and we sit around a fire on earthen seats shaped from the cave sides.
We are among the elements. We sit amidst creative potential.

Indeed! My last working brought me back to the path, back to considerations of what I am and where I am going. In truth I actually went for a long walk today along the coast, DEEP in magickal trance. Something has emerged in me recently. I have tapped into a font of tounges, for one thing: glossalalia... I used to do it before, occaisionally, but now it seems I can weave magic spontaeously through sound, and live in a soundscape of strange sounding 'words' most of the time. Nameless mantra... Another thing, also that over the last little while I have been in magickal trance most of the time. Today was special. And powerful. Drew power and wisdom from many things: buildings, anchors, boats, rocks, birds, and paths, among other things. I keep the details to myself, but I am quite satisfied... I feel like I am truly beginning to know and feel magick far beyond my rational mind, which is stepping back; my analytical tendency is letting go... This working was awesome. The last poiton is a perfect blend of all the potions. I taste it: electric, spicy, sweet, sparkly, and warm... I am energized!
