View Full Version : The "feel"/image of certain numbers

I think many here are much more experienced with numbers than me. Yet still I have a kind of relation to many of them. They have a certain feel to them, independant of any system. I can say this because I simply have very little experience with numerology and pythagoreanism and even mathematics.

But I still have preferences and feelings towards the numbers. What about you what are your favourite numbers and why, how do they "look" to you, how do they feel?

For example (between 1-10) I like: the 7 the best- swift, clear like a lightning from the heavens, yet very wise. Then I basically like the numbers that somehow look "askew", like the 5 also. The 1,2 is soso, the three is good, the four indifferent, the six not so good etc...I also dislike the equals (33, 44) up to a hundred apart from the 11, that are often said to be numbers of power etc.

An idiotic "secret": On every forum I post at, I try not to leave with a post count that displays a "half-equal" like 166 (yuk this is soo ugly), 666 though is ok...am I crazy?...or is that (probably) old news to you?, whats your personal relation to various numbers?

I like numbers and I like the combination of numbers and letters in things like algebra. In fact, I would say that algebra is one of my favourite kinds of mathematical operation.

Still working through getting to know each number personally and comparing that to what each is supposed to represent in different systems.

They all look and feel different and have interesting personalities, or so I have found so far and it is hard to get to know the number completely in one sitting, so much more work to do on this.

I haven't tried pairing off or grouping them yet as individuals, I need to get to know them better first.

Personal favourite has always been 67. It began with the fact that a lot of cool shit happened in 1967, but if you start looking for something you see it everywhere (if you haven't seen PI get this film... very good).

Anyway then basic mainstream numerology came into play. 6 = bad and 7 = good so to me 67 is became a form of yin-yang.

Now of course, many years later, I have come to terms with the fact that nothing is as simple as that, still 67 keeps me in its grip.

I also love Pythagoras and the: 1+2+3+4 = 10 and 1+0 = 1!

Sticking with what you are talking about here K as far as the feeling of numbers outside of any associations with certain Magickal systems; from 0-9 I think I get the best feel from 0, the cypher. It also reminds me of the Ouroboros. There are four cyphers in that word even... hmmm, I wonder what that could mean.

Call me crazy too... I do the same... I also seem to write certain things depending on what post count number the post I am posting is. For example if my next post will be number 742 (which it will be) I might incorporate the mood of 4 in that post (7+4+2=13=1+3=4). So it might be an earthy post.

This one I am doing now is 741 (3) and it is all about magic... in this instance the magic of numbers!

I've noticed that 1111 usually signifies a major turning point for me...like....death and light all at once.....

Then i kept hearing my life was going to end at 32 since I was 16 so that's kind of a haunting number for me...that's in 2012

:D

no worries...lol
