I am going to disallow nicks that come across as complete gibberish or otherwise cannot be pronounced in normal conversation. Names that may be comprised of incoherent strings of letters, numbers, punctuation marks, special characters, etc are going to be deleted on sight...no negotiations. period.
If we have an email that actually goes someplace we will email the recipient to allow them the opportunity to pick another nick that makes better sense. Otherwise, just forget about it...I'm not catering to this crap at all.
Names that may involve interesting or unusual spellings (such as my own nick for instance) are fine. I am only requiring that the finished product can be reasonably translated into a pronounceable name of some kind.
Names comprised of ALL CAPS are also being reviewed at this time as contrary to the SHOUTING rule which we do not allow here. I will post here what we decide but there is a good chance those nicks will need to be revised. Combinations of caps, non-caps, numbers, and/or special characters will probably be allowed so long as the composite name itself is a recognizeable/pronounceable one.
