Now it may be determined that the results of carbon dating
done in the 80's were skewed due to contamination...

And that it could actually date from the time of Christ...

Several other new discoveries also at play...

I'd highly recommend this program:

However, one theory states that it is a medieval 'forgery'
spawned by the then-thriving market in religious relics...

And, more remarkably, that it was actually the first photograph...!

This entire protophoto process was recreated and demonstrated, and it
produced eerily similar results to the Shroud, including negative images...

Using a compound collector lens** fitted to a dark chamber, or
'camera obscura', the inverted image of a 'corpse' hanging in the
bright sunshine for several days was was projected onto a piece
of light-sensitized fabric that had been soaked in a silver solution...

The theorist concluded that the silver solution would have
been prepared by, and obtained from, the local alchemist... ;)

**Reading glasses and also large convex
lenses were available at the time...

what...science made a mistake? no way...

I was always partial to the biophoton blast theory...not that I believe it necessarily...I just get a kick out of the whole image of christ doing a super-nova thingy as a sort of parting gesture...

oh by the way...you guys might've killed the wrong person...poof! lol...

They discussed that theory also...

The man presenting it made it clear that they don't think that
the energy was projected out from the body onto the cloth...

They are actually proposing that the image was transferred to the cloth as the
cloth fell through the body, as the body transmutated and dematerialized...!

Talk about subtle... :p
