Ghosts chasing by traditional Satanists

Ghost chasing is a common practice in the shakthi (goddess) temples in Tamilnadu. This video clipping is taken at melmalaiyanur near Gingee , Tamilnadu. People particularly women are affected by some behavioral disorded which is believed by the rural mass by the influence of Ghosts. There is no treatment available in any system of medicine to rectify this problem.
Hence people have no other way but to depend their traditional black magicians in other words the Satan or demon worshippers. They are more intelligent in handling the spirit
Possessed people in a unique ways and means.
Certain temples deities are capable of chasing ghosts( it is believed). Hence people go to the temples and try to solve the problems under the guidance of rural priests(pojaries).It is a small village and the temple is looking after by the rural priests who perform pojas to the deities. The temple itself is situated near the village burial ground.
Apart from the temple priests there are so many local priests(black magicians called kodangis)who not concerned with temple authorities, are engaging in these devil/ghost chasing activities.For which they collect money.
The kodangi ask the woman (who is under the influence of the ghost) about the details and information of the ghost.The ghost possessed women will reveal the occupant. Then the kodangis with the drums and other equipments chase the ghost
away by cutting the woman’s hair followed by some rituals.

Interesting. She seems very well-behaved though. My main question throughout the process was why would the possessing (or influencing) spirit in this case be so undefending against the pujas aimed at rooting it out? Since she/it refuses to go, why does she act so obediently in videos 1 and 2?

The girl told that "she was Munusamy (a male) who was committed suicide few months back. He died because of the torture given by his wife and his mother. He was very eager to see his children. that is why he possessing that girl"
The priest asked munusamy to leave from the body of the girl, because she is also having husband and children.
But Munusamy refused to leave from the girl.
This process will continue
what i think is the girl might known the dead person. From childhood onwards she also saw such
ghost driven occations. she may have some problems within her family.Hence the mental stress and problems make her ghost pocessessed.If unattended she may become psychiatric and will be neglected from the society.The rural people cant spend money to cure her by giving proper treatment
which will a long and expensive. But the priests on the other hand can able to cure the girl in few sttings. they will ask what the possessed one needs. The possessed will reveal some eatable and drinks(liquor). After furnishing the desired things the socalled ghost will leave.

it's interesting to me that here in the US we don't seem to regard ghosts as having the usual ability to take over other people's bodies. we would tend to relegate that capability to spirits or demons or entities not really as familiar to us as the guy down the street who died last week etc. It's not completely unheard of...just not very common, whereas in other cultures it seems to me that this might actually be the more common of the ghostly manifestations. I am not sure why that is or what that means necessarily...just a general observation.

Yeah, that's a good point...ghosts are most often thought of about their "external" apprearance and related phenomena, and it is true about Europe's general approach too to an extent.
