Hey everyone! Good to see so many friendly faces.

What can I say?

I've involved myself with every major tradition of Buddhism with the exception of the Nichiren school....and that is only due to time constraints. I was heavily influenced in particular by the Burmese Theravadan tradition where I had the opportunity to study Mahasi style vipassana. It seems to have started a chain of events that spurred my interest in esoteric Buddhism, and eventually led to my current path as a Tibetan Buddhist. I study in the Sakya lineage, but have received teachings from the other traditions as well.

I'm looking forward to some great discussions, and hope to learn alot here.

Greetings SoMG!

Very happy you could make it to our little party... One of the things I really want to attend to on this forum is a proper Reading list for each forum so that people new to various schools of thought will have some support resources to turn to. I am hoping you will be able to contribute to that as time permits with respect to your own areas of interest...

But not quite yet...it will take a couple of weeks just to hammer out a lot of little background issues. After that I'll resume posting on some of my stuff and we can all settle into a more comfortable groove I think...

Great to have you with us!
