Paganism is a term which, from a Western perspective, has come to connote a broad set of spiritual or cultic practices or beliefs of any folk religion, and of historical and contemporary polytheistic religions in particular. - source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paganism)

• Africa-based Religions (http://sparta.rice.edu/~maryc/AfroCuban.html) | There are a variety of interesting sites focused on African and Afro-Caribbean Religions, and this page pulls together some links. (ky)
• Asatru (http://www.asatru.org/) | Ásatrú is thousands of years old. It's beginnings are lost in prehistory, but as an organized system, it is older by far than Christianity. Strictly speaking, since Ásatrú is the religion which springs from the specific spiritual beliefs of the Northern Europeans, it is as old as this branch of the human race, which came into being 40,000 years ago. (ky)
• David Ulansey (http://www.well.com/user/davidu/index.html) | Homepage of a Professor in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. His specialty is the religions of the ancient Mediterranean world, especially the ancient Mystery religions, Gnosticism, ancient cosmology, and early Christianity. He also teaches courses on the evolution of consciousness, Jungian thought, alchemy, the metaphysics of cyberspace, and applied deep ecology. (fn)
• Greek Pantheon, The (http://www.theoi.com/Pantheon.html) | A very practical introduciton to the Greek Gods. (ky)
• IMBAS (http://www.imbas.org/imbas/index.html) | An organization that promotes the spiritual path of Senistrognata, the ancestral customs of the Celtic peoples. It is a path open to Pagans, Christians, and Aghostics alike. (ky)
• Irminsul (http://www.irminsul.org/) | More Asatru stuff. (ky)
• Runa Raven Press (http://www.runaraven.com/) | The mission of Rûna-Raven goes beyond mere “book-selling”— the purpose of Rûna-Raven is transformative. Transformation occurs when knowledge is put into action. But for the changes to be strong and true, the knowledge must be accurate. Therefore, we constantly attempt to bring increasing amounts of the highest quality scholarship — exoteric and esoteric — to you. (ky)
• Slavic Gods (http://hometown.aol.com/hpsofsnert/Gods.html) | A doorway to ancient times. (ky)

*Chylde, brushing away dust and cobwebs*

This is not looking like a very popular place, makes me think of a jinja after the kami has moved on... but for any who may visit, I'll add a few things.

It is unclear to me whether this forum is oriented toward paleo/meso/syncreto/civilo/neo/-pagans. I've noted adverse reaction to some fairly stereotypical neo-pagan thoughts. Regardless... Most of these are easily had via search engine. Some are updates of things that I was involved with a very long time ago, in "another life". Some are sources that seemed to be useful to me these days or that I'm familiar with for various reasons.

The Alt.Pagan FAQ: (http://faqs.org/faqs/paganism-faq/)This FAQ is somewhat dated, compiled and maintained by a large crowd of us back when the Internet was mostly private, but it's a decent set of rudimentary descriptions for introduction to the facets of paganism.
The Internet Book of Shadows (http://www.sacred-texts.com/bos/index.htm): A compilation of Pagan Occult Distribution System (PODS) articles originally compiled and maintained by my friend Durwydd mac Tara. The original group of articles date back into the early 1980's. The current version has some additions and some deletions due to copyright issues. I have the original source files and will eventually provide a proper HTML update to the good folk at The Internet Sacred Texts Archive. (http://www.sacred-texts.com/index.htm)
The Henge of Keltria (http://www.keltria.org/) A neo-druidic group that has done good works in the past. The Henge was originally founded to educate the general public on neo-paganism
Isaac Bonewits' current site. (http://www.neopagan.net/) Isaac is a definite pioneer, and has done many good works in trying to sort out public perspective of cults versus religion. He's not without his biases (http://www.neopagan.net/Enemies.html) but at least he's come by them with gusto (http://www.neopagan.net/SatanicAdventure.html) a thing he's very good at ... as he says on his site:
"Isaac wishes it officially known that he is not “A Pagan Spiritual Leader,” but merely one of the Neopagan movement’s better-known Unindicted Co-Conspirators..." (http://www.neopagan.net/IB_Intro.html)

Caveat Emptor! His is one view amongst many, you must decide for yourself how you feel about them.

If this looks useful, I'll see what else I have lurking in my bookmarks.
