Thoth Year 15. 1

Meditation on The World takes us along Path 32 from Malkuth to Yesod
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 1 and A(brahadabra) on 4th May 2007

Juggler and I stand in the temple and prepare for our undertaking at the beginning of the new Thoth year. We understand that we are to consider the best use of the gifts we received going from Kether to Malkuth in the last Thoth year, so we lay them on the altar and take meditation seats; we are to consider the symbology of the last journey and its relevance to our vocation.

We start out on a new cycle and trek back to the cave reaching the cavern and seeing others there around the fire as before. There is a camaraderie as we sing, holding hands and bonding as a group. It seems that there are five of us, though why that number I am not sure. We are aware of distant others, though they are not part of our group. Each of us has a talent and we are encouraged to work as a team, each using our own tools for a great work.

We will all take different paths and eventually be reunited.

We are each to consider our tools and how to make the best use of them.

Thoth Year 15. 2

Meditation on The Aeons takes us along Path 31 from Malkuth to Hod
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 2 and AB(rahadabra) on 5th May 2007

My juggler and I are walking up a gentle slop – our tools in our rucksacks - eventually we find ourselves standing on top of a cliff. Ahead, we see a darker sky and the wind is picking up. Looking back we see the bay still full of activity in the sunlight.

After surveying the land, we walk further and approach the forest. Trees sway and there are creaking noises. We see how the sky sets a deep, dark background for the leaves where the light is still touching them.

Once in the land of wood, we notice how noisy it is and become aware of being visitors on the planet earth with many options to choose from; some of us take each day as it comes; some of us feel drawn to using our developing gifts and others sense a vocation.

The Aeons urge the juggler and I to be heralds. There is much to think about.

Thoth Year 15. 3

Meditation on The Sun takes us along Path 30 from Yesod to Hod
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 3 and ABR(ahadabra) on 6th May 2007

After enjoying our sunny day, juggler and I arrived at Hod. We set down our tools on the table and one of them rises up and presents itself to us as a symbol. We ponder its significance and go off to research it as encouraged to do whilst out trekking the other day. Our finding is that we are on a path to divine knowledge and we can take any direction bearing in mind the sanctity of the temple we emanate from.

Thoth Year 15. 4

Meditation on The Ocean takes us along Path 29 from Malkuth to Netzach
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 4 and ABRA(hadabra) on 7th May 2007

We take the bus into the city on a lovely sunny morning and notice how active and vibrant everything is.

My juggler and I become aware of the city as an interchange and exchange. It is a market place; a place of sharing before returning to our private residences. It is a place of subtle agreement – goods and services offered and agreed upon by monetary exchange. It is a community, though not obviously so.

As usual, when we are in the city, we spend time in a café or bistro; there is an atmosphere of service and giving.

Thoth Year 15. 5

Meditation on The Man takes us along Path 28 from Yesod to Netzach
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 5 and ABRAH(adabra) on 8th May 2007

Juggler and I go through country lanes and see all kinds of natural topology. We are going back to the city where we have appointments to keep and provisions to buy, aware of an undertaking which will change our lives forever. We are approaching maturity and must embrace new challenges and modes of being.

My juggler and I are aware that our lives may be cut short at any time and today brings a sense of purposefulness and even undertones of urgency. We will be travelling into the unknown and any innocence will be left to past memories.

We reach a hill in the highest point of the city now and as we prepare to move on, we look back and see the sea sparkling in the sun and the countryside lazing around as it has for centuries, whilst we sense the passing of carefree times.

Thoth Year 15.6

Meditation on The Tower takes us along Path 27 from Hod to Netzach
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 6 and ABRAHA(dabra) on 9th May 2007

Today it feels like we are walking along a tightrope; there is a great abyss below but my juggler and I are joined by a rope and he takes me safely across to Netzach. The tightrope is not as thin as I first feared and it gets wider the more I embrace the ordeal and walk along it.

When we get to the other side, we are laughing and we to a café for tea and cakes.

We meet with the rest of the group and they are dressed for outdoor activities; it seem they have been climbing the sides of mountains.

Everyone is happy and there is much merriment. We share experiences and there is connectedness in the group.

Thoth Year 15.7

Meditation on The Horned One takes us along Path 26 from Yesod to Tiphareth
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 7 and ABRAHAD(abra) on 10th May 2007

My juggler and I walk beside hedgerows and through fields until we arrive at Tiphareth. It is noon and we enter yet another of the many doors.

All present are blessed and invited to share a meal. The food is mainly symbolic but sustaining and will keep us going as we prepare to enjoy the workshops of the afternoon.

We are assigned groups and tasks which are punctuated with meditations.

Thoth Year 15.8

Meditation on Alchemy takes us along Path 25 from Hod to Tiphareth
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 8 and ABRAHADA(bra) on 11th May 2007

At Hod we are in mid afternoon and sitting around in easy chairs. As the day goes on, we get our gear together and walk through the forest towards the lake. We take our little boat and notice how calm and quiet everything is, unusually so.

We arrive at Tiphareth in time for afternoon tea and chat with others until the meeting starts.

There is a talk about keys and symbols and we are to meditate on various items which are passed around at intervals; we realize that this is theoretical input and will be needed for later on our travels. We are learning about vibrations and meanings because we have been told that further up the tree, our experiences will be more occult and obscure in nature.

My juggler and I are noticing our changedness and sense our inner worlds more keenly.

Thoth Year 15.9

Meditation on Death takes us along Path 24 from Netzach to Tiphareth
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 8 and ABRAHADAB(ra) on 12th May 2007

Juggler and I find ouselves being driven away from Netzach in the back of an open truck along a bumpy mountain road. We pass sandy outcrops and other interesting natural features. The wind blows up dust and whips our hair across our faces.

The day is bright until we near Tiphareth, then we notice some cloud coverage and a slight chill in the now brisk wind.

We are grateful to reach the relative comfort of Tiphareth by late afternoon, as by now, the sky is overcast and rain seems to be imminent. We move into the evening with a talk about protection as we are sure to encounter opposition on our way. Our symbols are of protective clothing which will go some way into warding off the potential hazards that lie ahead.

Thoth Year 15.10

Meditation on The Hanged Man takes us along Path 23 from Hod to Geburah
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 9 and ABRAHADABR(a) on 13th May 2007

Myself and my friend the Juggler take the returning train to Geburah. We arrive and go to ta mountainside café. We are aware of the mist engaging itself in the atmosphere and a great microscosm of activity involving weather, geology and humanity.

The earth and its formations are very visible here and we sense the greatness of our planet. We are keenly aware of the tectonics and the magnitude of our own energetic selves.

Awakening in us is the magnificence of our being despire our small statures in comparison with the mountains.

Thoth Year 15.11

Meditation on The Balance takes us along Path 22 from Tiphareth to Geburah
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 10 and ABRAHADABRA on 14th May 2007

Juggler and I take a stony trek on the east side of the mountain. We have come from Tiphareth in the morning and set out in bright light. Every so often the sun gets through the gaps in the surrounding mountains.

Geburah looks close but our walk is long and takes us most of the day.

Unusually we pass people coming the other way and there are a few walkers on the ascent with us too; a couple way ahead and a small group not far behind.

Soon we are in the mist and feeling physically challenged by the continuous effort of the climb.

We reach the top of the mountain at nightfall. The damp atmosphere has cleared and stars begin to show on the night sky.

Juggler and I sit around a fire musing quietly together.

We have come a long way.

Thoth Year 15.12

Meditation on The Wheel takes us along Path 21 from Netzach to Chesed
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 10 and ABRAHADABRA on 15th May 2007

The whole group is together again and we all get into a large and comfortable car for our trip to Chesed.

There is respite at Chesed and we get baths or showers as preferred and enjoy social activities. We dine together, talking, laughing and taking photographs. It is a truly relaxing and happy time.

At Chesed, there are no mountains to climb or elements to battle against, just meadows and grounds surrounding our temporary residence which delight and surprise us with unexpected arbors and hidden seating areas, fountains and secret paths to follow amidst bushes and flowers.

It is undeniably peaceful and beautiful.

Thoth Year 15.13

Meditation on The Hermit takes us along Path 20 from Tiphareth to Chesed
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 9 and ABRAHADABR(a) on 16th May 2007

Juggler and I are at Tiphareth. We have spent the morning in lectures looking at our journey and we are being prepared for the way forward. At the moment, our notes are theory, we will realize some of their potential on the coming adventures.

Soon it is time to gather our belongings and set off again; we have been refreshed at Chesed on the previous day and now we will return there to consolidate our learning and prepare to move on.

At Chesed, we pack up and realise that the group will be parted once more and we may not see each other again - at least for a while. We are to spend time in meditation centering ourselves and reflecting before the next stage of our journey.

This often thoughtful and quiet day, and the evening is in the offing and the time to depart has come. There are warm hugs and silent goodbyes as we leave.

Thoth Year 15.14

Meditation on Strength takes us along Path 19 from Gevurah to Chesed
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 8 and ABRAHADAB(ra) on 17th May 2007

We spent the night on the mountain in a tent. It was very windy and rained heavily all night. The light in our tent spoke to us of our inner light; no matter what is happening around us or even to us, there is always that inner spark even if it is only tiny.

Dawn saw calm and even though we were a little wet and cold, we set off for Chesed in high spirits in the knowledge that there was respite there, if only briefly.

Our path was muddy and slippery and often slow, but the new morning was fresh and in the calmer and quieter atmosphere, we could hear animal noises and the cracking of twigs under foot. There were smells of damp leaves and mystery as we passed through patches of mist.

Today, the woodland was alive and so were we. We had survived our night on the mountain in dangerous conditions and now the woodland in all its natural glory touched our senses as if in celebration of our victory.

Thoth Year 15.15

Meditation on The Chariot takes us along Path 18 from Tiphareth to Binah
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 7 and ABRAHADA(bra) on 18th May 2007

Today at Tiphareth, we are all given special wristbands to wear; some people have different colours and I think it must be something to do with the levels of attainment of each person.

We are forming groups and getting to know others who we have not met before. We are each given symbols on cards in our groups and they range from basic circles and triangles to squares and slightly more elaborate designs. We are to scry them and share the results – its more learning before we set off for Binah.

Binah is still as dark as I remembered and we are in a small group and each of us sets off alone or in a pair to look for symbols on the cave walls or indeed anywhere. We are to find one but it does not have to match the one we scryed earlier and it does not necessarily have to be drawn by a person, it can be naturally formed.

I find someone’s gold heart locket on the ground and notice a discard coke can dropped too.

As I go deeper, I see a little opening near the top right of the cave as it suddenly opens out more and a ray of sunshine comes in and touches me directly on the head; this is unexpected and I feel happy.

I find my symbol further on, it is not the same as the scryed one and I connect it to something I have seen before.

Thoth Year 15.16

Meditation on The Lovers takes us along Path 17 from Geburah to Binah
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 6 and ABRAHAD(abra) on 19th May 2007

It is a warm evening; the sky shows the last recognisable hues of pink before darkening.

My juggler and I enjoy this scene until the last of the light ebbs away. We enter the tunnels which will take us to Binah.

It is quite humid underground but at least it is warm and there seem to be plenty of people around.

As we approach Binah, we see that there is some kind of meeting or celebration going on and the once dark, dank cave with a scary feel, has now given way to a very pleasant scene of a private dinner party; wine is poured and soft music plays as peopletalk quietly and peacefully with each other. The lighting is low and though I still have a keen awareness of that first visit to a cold, dark Binah, this evening is quite a contrast.

Worldy cares are forgotten, memories erased, there is only now.

There is at-one-ness.

All is peaceful.

Thoth Year 15.17

Meditation on The Teacher takes us along Path 16 from Tiphareth to Chokmah
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 5 and ABRAHA(dabra) on 20th May 2007

Today we are up bright and early. We are fresh and rested and set out for Chokmah knowing that it will be some time before we arrive.

Juggler and I sing songs along the way and enjoy summer meadows – it is a change from the mountainous and often harsh terrain we have passed through recently.

We get to Chokmah just after dark and are greeted warmly by someone who takes us into a farmhouse; there is a small group of people who have been waiting to welcome us and soon we find ourselves in a warm, friendly atmosphere with jolly faces and home comforts.

I am presented with a gift (see private notes) and am ushered into (see private notes)…

… I continue holding the light in front of me and proceed forward knowing that the group is supporting me.

Thoth Year 15.18

Meditation on The Star takes us along Path 15 from Chesed to Chokmah
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 4 and ABRAH(adabra) on 21st May 2007

At Chesed, Juggler and I are in the morning room or library reading and chatting before todays escapades.

Chokmah calls so we prepar to go and ensure that we have our robes and any magickal equipment we may nee.

There is a slight urgency to our journey today which seemed to be echoed by sudden light winds as if pusing us along to our destination.

Chokmah is relatively quiet today. The people that were so welcoming the previous eveing are all going about daily chores and there is an air of teamwork and purpose.

I find myself in a large room with an altar and candles – it is obviously a small temple. I have been sent there to reflect and practice for…(see private notes).

Thoth Year 15.19

Meditation on The Woman takes us along Path 14 from Binah to Chokmah
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 0 and ABRA(hadabra) on 22nd May 2007

We are kneeling before an altar in the cave at Binah. There is a man in a white or ivory robe behind it. He looks like a Carthusian monk and he is making an offering for us. We take the communion, though I am uncertain if it is a Christian one or not.

After changing out of our own robes and into casual wear, we leave Binah. The travelling seems to be an odd mix of transportation, though at one point, we seem to be on choppy waters near an outlet to the sea,

The way ahead is not clearly shown but after some misgivings and not a little fear, we are on dry land and walking towards the farmhouse at Chokmah. It has started to rain and we are glad to get inside and be re-acquainted with the farm people.

We sit around drinking hot soup in the sitting room and soon all are gathered for a meeting to discuss logistics for what lies ahead. It is very much like a committee meeting.

Later, there will be a fully robed ritual in the temple.

Thoth Year 15.20

Meditation on The Priestess takes us along Path 13 from Tiphareth to Kether
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 3 and ABR(ahadabra) on 23nd May 2007

At Tiphareth, we are all processing around the central table in the Great Hall/Arena. We each carry a candle and as each one of us puts our candle down on the table, we leave and prepare to go to Kether. There is a prayerful atmosphere and people are chanting softly.

Today, my juggler and I are flying to Kether; we set off in a small aeroplane and admire the views below. The mode of travel and the fact that we are above the ground for a change seems significant.

Kether is unearthly. We are greeted by a tall white statue; it looks like a god or an angle and as we approach, two great white doors open for us to pass through. On each side wall just as we enter, a door opens and young people come out dressed in white robes and walk behind us. The inside of the Great Temple is light and there are many golden items such as candlesticks and staffs. We are approaching a gold an ivory altar. Doors on each side near the altar open and now men robed in white and cream join the gathering round the altar. When we are all round this great table, the two doors behind it open and two men in fine gold and ivory coloured ritual attire come to stand at the altar too. They lay books on the table and a great ceremony begins.

My juggler and I appear to be the special guests at this momentous event…

Thoth Year 15.21


Meditation on The Magickian takes us along Path 12 from Binah to Kether
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 2 and AB(rahadabra) on 24th May 2007

Juggler and I exit the cave after (see notes). We are most surprized to find it is snowing and the ground is already under a heavy fall. We set off for Kether, passing glorious dark green pine trees set against a blue skya and the white ground – it is spectacularly contrasting. We reach the edge of this great hill and find ourselves walking down into warmer and greener lands; Kether is sat majestically in the distance waiting for us.

On reaching Kether, we are guided to a side entrance and enter a basic, but warm room where we are replenished and can change into indoor clothing.

After a while, we enter the Great Hall and spend time in meditation. There is a sense of quiet and vastness.

We are physically located away from the rest of the world and yet feel deeply connected to it at some level. Kether is like the top of a hill overlooking valley, towns and movements. Separate yet totally in touch with everything.

Thoth Year 15.22

Meditation on The Fool takes us along Path 11 from Chokmah to Kether
Assistive vibrations are Twin Star 1 and A(brahadabra) on 25th May 2007

Just for fun, my juggler and I swapped clothes but his clothes did not suit me at all, nor mine his but it was fun anyway.

At Chokmah, we are playing with toys as an experiential exercise. We are connecting with another aspect of ourselves.

We leave for Kether and take a slow barge along the canal. On the barge are miniature items – child sized – and again we are connecting with that aspect of our memories.

Kether is still as large and majestic as before and I am still in awe of it.

At Kether, we are looking beyond oursleves to our ‘twin’ body. Although we are fully aware of our physical bodies, the seemingly ghostly twin body is in reality more substantial and its energy very strong. Apparentely it is this body which will travel in the next world.

ABRAHADABRA - TS1 on 26 May 2007
The Fool on Path 11 - ARBADAHARBA

We enter a tunnel that leads away from Kether, then it stops in the middle of nowhere. We have hit a blank, there seems to be no trail.

The farmhouse people come out and find us realizing that we have not shown up at the expected time.

This is the first time we have felt defeated on our journey and it reminds us of childhood and being dependent upon family and other caregivers for our needs.

We have stepped out in innocence and our innocence has been shown to us.

ABRAHADABR(a) TS2 on 27 May 2007
The Magickian on Path 12 (a)RBADAHARBA

Today, again, the juggler and I are finding it difficult to reach our destination and again, a group is sent out to guide us.

Binah is at last in sight. We enter the cave finding it dark and dank as on our first visit; to our relief, once we enter the main meeting area, it is warm and thought it has always seemed to have dark corners, is welcoming.

We are taken to a little room behind the altar which we had never even known was there. It is a small sunny room overlooking a little courtyard this seems to be cut out of the mountain as the two sides all lead back into the mountain cave network though the far end seems to have a gate leading out into a valley.

Having taken in this new vista, we are seated and receive instruction from the robed man. We are then directed to send time kneeling or seated examining our conscience. We are told to remain in silence whilst doing this for the next hour or more.

We are truth seeking and as on the first visit, I am presented with a key. I come to understand that I am not doing this just for myself but for the whole of time, past, present and future, for my own lifespan and as a continuation of the spark in others.

Each time anyone seeks the truth, it is a light for us all.

ABRAHADAB(ra) – TS3 on 28th May 2007
The Priestess on Path 13 – (ar)BADAHARBA

Outside is snowy terrain; we are dressed warmly and set off feeling uncertain. All of our previous treks have been taken on with great eagerness and quite unassumingly.

Today, I feel unsure and wonder how we will fare since the last two days we have had to be as good as rescued.

I wasn’t surprised to find a great challenge ahead. We are to cross a great chasm using what looks like a rope ladder as a bridge. It looks flimsy and is swaying a lot.

This trek feels like a nightmare about to engulf me. I have a board that I use to lie on and inch my way across the great and terrifying drop. I know that I must put all of my concentration and efforts into moving across the makeshift bridge. It is one of those ‘longest day of my life’ kind of times.

I hardly remember how, but I do reach Tiphareth; I am crying and feel traumatised after my experience.

Instead of attending lectures in the great arena, I am taken to a side room, sedated and put into a bed. Everything looks white or ice cream coloured and there seems to be a nurse or care person in attendance.

I sleep.

ABRAHADA(bra) – TS on 29th May 2007
The Woman on Path 14 – (arb)ADAHARBA

Much to our relief, the walk to Binah is uneventful.

On entering the cave, we find rows of chairs and lines of candles. We are of remembering people of ages past, the newly born and people to come. There is a film showing pictures of the galaxy and gradually zooming in on places in the world. We are to focus on our place in the scheme of things and to this end we are each given a card, everyone has a different colour and we are to write down one word that defines us and surround it with other meaningful words or doodles or mini pictures of whatever we want. Much to my surprise, having made our cards that felt personal, we were told to burn them and let go of those ideas as an act of detachment.

Today, I find that any feelings of identity and security that I have been taken from me.

This is only the fourth day of this cycle and I am already wondering how I will fare over the next eighteen days.

ABRAHAD(abra) – TS4 on 30th May 2007
The Star on Path 15 – (arba)DAHARBA

Outside looked sunny and I could see little yellow flowers in contrast with fresh green grass near Chokmah. As we set off we encountered an icy and slippery trail. It was freezing cold and Chesed looks near enough, but the effort we needed to get there slowed us down considerably.

Chesed is normally a cosy replenishment centre but today, although we were given refreshments, my feet were so cold I may as well have been outside.

This time it feels very empty compared to the last trip and I have nothing more to give. I can only hold on and take each moment as it comes.

ABRAHA(dabra) – TS5 on 31st May 2007
The Teacher on Path 16 – (arbad)AHARBA

I am stood in the kitchen at Chokmah having a cup of tea before I leave. I look out of the window and am unable to determine very much at all.

Today, thankfully, we are being driven by car to Tiphareth.

Every winter I have looked out of today just shows me a world that looks flat as if it was painting, realistic enough, yet not quite real. It is like the world has moved on without me and I have been captured in a photo frame and I am a few minutes behind real time.

Tiphareth is ahead. Again I enter the busy arena but feel disconnected as if I am only looking in on this event. I almost think I am in a dream, then someone speaks to me and we are all asked to be seated ready for a film. The film is meaningless and I am at a loss as to what to make of it. I know it is supposed to be speaking about something but I am blank. I feel alone is cut off from everyone; this also seems like some kind of animated cartoon and I know that if I can just finds the exit, I will be in the real world again.

ABRAH(adabra) – TS6 on 1st June 2007
The Lovers on Path 17 – (arbada)HARBA

Everyone in the cave at Binah is bustling around going about their business.

Juggler puts his arm around my shoulders; I had never realized just how tall he is.

We start our mountain trek towards Geburah. The slope is steep and we slip on loose rocks. The trek is arduous but once Geburah is in sight, the lead up is grassy and easier on the foot..

On top of the mountain at Geburah, the light is painfully blinding and we can see nothing because of it. We are like blind men scrabbling around trying to find our way. Again, we seem to be at the mercy of whatever outside aid there is.

ABRA(hadabra) – TS7 on 2nd June 2007
The Chariot on Path 18 – (arbadah)ARBA

Its night time in the cave at Binah and there are quite a few people hurrying to and from various places . Small night lights flicker as we leave.

We are catching a night bus to Tiphareth; we can’t see very much bit we are aware of road lamps and clusters of lights as we pass small towns.

Tiphareth is almost deserted. It seems we are very late and we have been left worksheets and instructions to go through them as soon as we arrive; we must complete them before retiring for the night. Its been a long day.

Again, there is a sense of being disconnected though I appreciate the solitude and can only wonder why this trip has been and continues to be so challenging.

ABR(ahadabra) – TS8 on 3rd June 2007
Strength on Path 19 – (arbadaha)RBA

Today, I am alone at Chesed, Juggler is busying himself whilst I eat breakfast.

It’s a nice day and I feel fairly good. Our first half of this trip is easy but on reaching the foot of the mountain, we find the climb needs much of our strength and we stop frequently to rest.

Again, we find oursleves on the mountain at nightfall; the stars are out and its cold. A wind has picked up and our challenge is to get enough strength to peg our tent securely and to keep warm enough.

Once up, we are grateful to get inside the tent. We are cold and tired and feeling very blown about. The milder atmosphere inside our ‘home’ makes my face feel a lot warmer than it really is.

We note the damp and misty exterior of the centre.

Nothing unusual about our walk today, only to note its brevity compared to yesterday’s long and tiring climb.

Tiphareth, as usual, is atmospheric and this morning everyone is doing collage or art work of some kind. The theme seems to be ‘rituals of the world’ and it is my first pleasant day of this trip. I savour it.

We notice the rest of our group on the other side of the great room; it has been a while since we last saw them.

Juggler and I are in smart-casuals today for our city tripl we have taken breakfast later than usual.

We take a bus to the city and spend time window shopping and visiting a few places of interest.

The rest of our group are in town too but are on different assignments so we don’t get to meet up with them which is disappointing; it would have helped with the feeling of isolation I have experienced on this particular cycle.

At my briefing much later in the afternoon, I am instructed to outline part of a community project, again, I am alone and won’t get to meet the rest of the team on the project, in fact, I have no idea who they are. My juggler has been sent to his own assignment without me.

Juggler and I have spent time on the mountain, explored a little and revised. We are to go to Tiphareth for an exam.

Today we are being collected and taken to Tiphareth, I am tired and relieved that we don’t have to trek all the way there.

My relief was short lived; although we had covered enough theory, our exam is theory and practice. I am quite unprepared and stressed out by this. I am still tired and this is the last thing I want to be doing right now.

Somehow I seem to do very well and when it is all over all I can think about is going to my room for rest.

I had never thought of my juggler as affectionate man; so I was caught out when he greeted me warmly with a kiss on the cheek and a warm and gentle embrace. It’s completely blocked my focus for while.

My juggler then takes my hands as we find our way through underground tunnels on the mountain towards Hod. Every so often we come across outlets and little streams, once we felt vibrations and wondered where they were from. The air is different underground and so are the noises.

Resurface away back from Hod, then amble through the woodlands until we see the familiar cabin.

It’s a slightly humid day, so we take cool drinks and seat ourselves in the main room. There is a large envelope on the table and it contains drawings and descriptions of magickal tools and elements of ritual; some of it is in Latin by the looks of it and then there are Greek or Hebrew letters too.

We move the table and decide to ritual season can unlock the mysteries of drawings and diagrams.

I see the temperance card with a woman pouring water. Juggler tells me he sees the magickian card; so he commands and I scry and assist him.

Today I turned up in a juggler outfit just to tease my juggler. He found that very funny.

We are stood talking to some people at Tiphareth and my juggler is having an in-depth conversation with a couple of them.

Soon we leave for Netzach; the weather looks stormy, it is sunny and bright but the sky looks very dark.

We ride bicycles to the city. I have poor balance and manage to bump into some low-lying kerbs and fall off. Even so, we arrive safely in the city though I am a little shaken up.

I go to an office only to be told that I have failed part of my exam and must spend more time in preparation for a resit. I am very upset by this and step outside to the first few splashes of rain and the watery smell this brings.

We go for a late afternoon bite to eat and talk over my failure. Juggler has done exceedingly well so he is full of ideas and is obviously very happy to have passed his exam. He is kind and make some good suggestions to help me pass next time.

Juggler and I have no choice but to to take a car today; we have been loaded with homework and books at Tiphareth and we are off to the cabin at Hod to get down to some hard work. There will be no disruptions there.

Today we leave the arean with practical work; we have compass, map, knife, stick, coins and picnic hamper.

We have to get over fences, thorugh barbed wire and cross streams among other things – its like an obstacle course.

At Yesod, the weather has turned for the worse and the tide is coming in. We are in danger of being stranded on a little bay, so we find a beach hut on higher ground and hang out there whilst the storm is doing its work.

Juggler and I are taking a coach to the cabin at Hod.

We have worked hard at Hod and today we have come to tidy up our papers and books, do the housework and clear the garden area.

Some of our more secret work is locked in the safe and there is a sense of preparing to move on. We feel that a lot has been achieved and there is not much more that can be done.

The city was the last place we met as a group, this time, Juggler and I are alone.

We take a walk to just outside the city as it’s a nice day; we he hitch a lift to the Bay, it’s not too far at all.

We sit on the beach reminiscing, there seem to be few people around, almost none in fact.

Every so often a breeze picks up our hair and cools us.

We wonder how the rest of the group has fared, we have hardly seen them on this cycle and have not had a chance to share news.

My Juggler and I are both reflective people and he puts his arm around my shoulder as we walk up in silence to the café for tea. We are good friends and are glad of each other. We both think our partners have missed us whilst we have been mentally and emotionally caught up on the journey. Even we ourselves have had times of distance from each other.

Juggler and I take the bikes to Malkuth.

There is a little respite centre there and we are given massage, float tank and other restful options. We have been allocated rest-beds beside the swimming pool or in the garden areas.

We are catered for and told to rest.

Nicely rested, juggler and I are flown back to the cabin where we spend the night. We ritual and write notes.
You very early in the morning before sunrise, we set off for Yesod where we watch the sun come up. We are charting sunrise times and tides and noting where the sun falls on certain rocks and landmarks during the day. It’s a long day, but we have nearly an hour in between each marker, so we can take breaks to go into the sea, walk up the cliffs or go to the café for refreshments.

It’s been very warm day but as the evening draws to a close, we need to borrow jackets from the kind people in the nearby pub. Another rescue of sorts, so I am relieved that this particular journey is coming to a close.

At Hod we are taking measurements and plotting on our map, we are estimating the lengths of our stride and making notes.

We prepare a hamper and set off on foot for Malkuth. It’s quite a long journey so we stop to eat lunch and rest; this walk is tiring in the heat.

At Malkuth, we get medical checks of all kinds and are found to be reasonably well mostly, though both of us are sent to rest; even my dear juggler is a little frazzled.

We want to go outside are put into rooms on our own which is tiresome, I have at least been allowed a small radio for an hour to listen to light music.

I am quite tearful and frustrated because I want to go outside and enjoy the sunshine, and yet again, I am on rest time.

My juggler sneaks into my room and gets caught and sent back. Sigh.

Juggler and I are going on a coastal walk today, we have been given magicians tools for later, but from now, we are allowed today to do things like eat ice cream and explore the local coastal area.

It has been suggested that we make a mental note of the variety of elements we can see all feel on the coast. We see the obvious, fire of the sun, water of the ocean, we can feel the air in the breeze and we could see dirt or earth on the cliffs where the grass had been trodden away. We also noted rocks, grass, bushes, animals and insects and other things that make up our world.

When we eventually arrived at Malkuth, we were told to draw and make notes on the elements and notice any kinds of sensory experience or feelings we had about each element.

Interesting morning. I have renamed my juggler ‘Ray’.

Ray and I go for a fitting. We are to have new robes and alb and a new emblem. Having checked and ‘cleaned’ our tools, we are taken by minibus to Yesod on account of the showery weather. The air is fresh and we enjoy the ride.

Having taken sun and tidal measurements a day or so earlier, we set about exploring the coastal stores and area for correspondence items such as crystals to add to our kit. It is like a treasure hunt and we have fun searching for the assemblage.

A good start to the day. I took a herbal bath and massage and Ray went to the gym area; we met in the reading room later and went to the meditation rooms for a while before departing to catch the train to Hod. We alighted on the edge of the forest and walked through the woods finding herbs and wood to make tools. We came across a little waterfall and stood watching the flowing water before making our way to the cabin.

It is a lovely day and our little garden area is blooming. We set up a bench outside and work on our tools and learn about the herbs we have found. Our magickal repertoire is growing and the cabin is the perfect place to store everything.

Ray and I thump drums as we walk beside the sea, we are chanting; the sea breeze carries our voice inland.

Today, we are aware of birdsong as we make our way to Hod and stop to listen to the calls.

It is good to be at Hod again. We practice vibrating our voices and listen to each other vibrating the god names.

We laugh a lot and find it all very uplifting.

This morning Ray and I spend some time in the pool just generally splashing around and having fun.

After a really nice breakfast of cereal and grapefruit, we take the usual bus to the city. We are delivering some letters or invitations to people connected with our group. We are part of a team organizing some kind of major event. We are given gifts by a few people who were at home when we called.

We end the day with afternoon tea in the patio area of a café, some people join us and we spend a very pleasant late afternoon chatting and relaxing in the sun.

Ray and I are collecting again – this time its sand, stones and rock. We have a barrow to take it all back to or store. We will be making an in depth study of stones and crystals at some point, but for now, we are going to the city again to get food and drink for the get together. Someone will collect us later.

We also have to take some food hampers round to some fo the older housebound members of our order.

Ray and I are at Hod, it is a showery day and a snake has come in to curl up under a piece of cloth and sleep.

we are experimenting with the statistics of chance and likelihood of events, with dice, cards and little sticks; in effect, we are consolidating proofs of our work.

Time to go. We are meeting with the group’s evening after many days of wondering how they are. If it had been any day prior to this, I might have looked forward to it, yet somehow I am not.

The town is moving from the commercial market feel of the day to the excitement of evening entertainment. People are dressed up and eager to get to their venues.

The group is meeting in a small restaurant for a light supper before going to see a film.

Experiences have changed us and we are less familiar with each other than before. The reality of… (see private notes) ...now. We leave on a firm handshake.

It is night time at Hod. Ray and I are going outside for a nights walk to listen to night sounds; it is an exercise in sensing our natural world without daytime distractions.

We sleep in in the morning but soon we are on our way to Tiphareth.

At the centre, we are filing past the main table. We are each given a card with magical items on it and we are to go before a panel and act out or explain it to them. We all have something different. There are several panels as there are lots of us today and we are allowed to do it from memory or go to a quiet corner and ask the other side for the answer.

On my cards, I have a symbol, a tool, a paragraph from a well-known grimoire, a herb or flower, a colour and a question about myself as a magickian.

Most of us can only answer two or three questions correctly. I fare slightly better but wasn’t among the few per cent who got them all right. Luck of the draw with the questions and one’s own gifts, either way, it was fun but it meant we had more work to do.

Force. Energy. The sea.

Ray and I confronted with and energetic sea; it is loud and aggressive on the incoming tide and we feel guided to consider how energy works and what it is about.

We note that whilst we are walking toward Tiphareth, the sea still raging behind us, yet its energy appears less to us.

Today the Twin Star gave us a gift as it always has done; this time it looks like a clear plastic rope, only it is a magick rope made of water. We can let it run into our hands and yet none of it escapes. The basic rope shape keeps its integrity.

At Tiphareth, we are caught up in some kind of physics lesson about force and energy. This seems to be the theme of the day.

Today, Ray and I are handing out leaflets in the town; we are inviting people to talks and workshops. We have done well and are pleased to be leaving for Tiphareth after being on our feet for a while.

At Tiphareth, we are sat round going into details for the get together; chatting about them or mapping them out and creating lists and rotas and things. There is a fair amount of paperwork to be done, artistic as well as more functional items and we all need to synchronize our parts in the events. We are a huge team and there ia really nice relaxed atmosphere here with people absorbed in the planning. Everyone seems content.

Its our last day in the cabin on this cycle and we take pics for fun, Finally, we lock up and set out.

Interesting terrain; we smell all kind of scents in the forest and pass by bogs and tall, old trees, young bushes and flowers. We catch glimpses of animals and see insects buzzing around. We hear calls echoing and our feet crunch twigs underfoot.

We ascend the mountain and become acutely aware of the power all around and beneath our feet. We feel a part of that power as if it might engulf us at any moment.

At the top of Geburah, we are in the sunshine and the powerful heat emanating form that great fiery star.

Todays gift from the Twin Star is the Sun, again Ray is able to hold it and even if he lets heat radiate from it, the main aspect keeps its integrity. This gift seemed to have a consciousness of its own unlike the other gifts we have received over the cycles.

Tiphareth is very busy today; we are doing a short exercise in trust with our eyes closed before going off in our group to Geburah.

Ray and I have never worked any part of the cycle in a group before, though we have met up with the group we set out with and socialized with them and also worked alongside others; but never walked a path as part of a team before.

Today, we must ascend Geburah without using any kind of transport or any set out road or path.

We each have different skills and are expected to use them in the interest of the group. My gift is (see private notes).

The path is intense and illuminating.

Ray and I are leaving town chattering and laughing; we feel fresh and lively as we head towards Chesed.

We pass bubbling, chattering streams and everything about today speaks of freshness, liveliness and clear water. (Note Twin Star gift of the day on same theme).

On the path we encounter clear broken glass and I cut my foot a little but am not seriously injured, though I shed blood.

At Chesed, there is a warm welcome from the management and I am taken to a little side room to be bandaged up.

We are refreshed as is usual for this point and invited to walk round the aquarium centre. Again, water and glass seems to be the theme today.

Today at Tiphareth, we are meditating and our theme is nourishment. We can choose a quiet corner or use one of the side rooms for a short time before we leave.

Chesed is always the place of nourishment and refreshment and we arrive to find a small gathering; a kind of tea party round the table. It is a time of fun and a chance to play lighthearted games; a time to forget the more serious work we have been doing.

The mountain is a bit muddy and slippery on the way down today after all the rain, but we are guiding each other with a rope and staying safe. We are enjoying seeing the rivers and streams swell with the extra input and looking at the dew drops dripping from the trees. Its all so magickal.

Tiphareth: we are again at the huge arena; on entering our attention is taken immediately by the large fire and cauldron in the centre.

Today, we are learning about safety in magick and respect for energies.

We have a lively tutor who invites various people into the main area to help demonstrate issues he brings up.

Later, we enact short playlets with our partners where one of us becomes the fire and the other tests our passivity or active control of magickal events.

A very practical and down to earth day all in all and one that builds confidence in our ability to handle most things that may come our way during magickal work.

We are ready and waiting to go to Binah; today we take a slightly different route, going by train to a little place in the mountains first and then continuing to Binah.

At Binah, there are secondment papers and Ray is taken off leaving me there with a group of people that are new to me. Those of us that remain are sat round on hard chairs in a circle. We are throwing a small ball to random people; it seems to be an exercise in alertness and concentration.

Then one at a time, we are to walk round and give a person of our choice an object, everyone has their eyes closed and must talk about the object from what they can feel. They are then the next person to take something to another group member.

Binah is practically deserted upon arrival apart from Ray and I and the occasional person walking past.

We decide to go and find the lovely courtyard on the west side.

There is no-one there either so we spend time talking together undisturbed by tasks, groupwork or study. Its really nice not to be under pressure and to just be able to stop awhile and appreciate the little things.

All too soon, an alert sounds followed by an announcement calling for us all to meet at a certain time and place.

Today Ray and I are being taken by car to Chokmah. It is a very pleasant ride and we are at ease.

At Chokmah, we enter the ritual room, ritually clean and robed and are joined by an older robed man. We are being instructed on preparing the space for the later gathering. There are many practicalities to consider and we feel a little inadequate despite our many hours of study and previous practice. We have bigger roles than usual in such an advanced group and we feel like beginners.

Breakfast in the sunny room at Chesed sets Ray and I off to a good start.

A meeting at Chokmah in the afternoon outlines the evening events and prepares us for the upcoming rituals.

Tonight is celebratory; all group members are being initiated into new roles and positions. Advancements are being made and Ray and I will receive [see private notes].

We leave Binah, after an hour of meditation in the small backroom that looks over the courtyard.

We take a bumpy truck ride for part of the way, which is quite good fun.

At the farmhouse, we look over miles of flat land to the South East; mountains to the north and mix of scenery in other directions. It is quite remote here, and I can see why it is good magical work.

We have gotten to know the people a little bit better, and we help in the kitchen preparing lunch.

As usual, the afternoon is spent in the wonderful sitting-room, discussing the later ritual. We are all initiated into our new offices now and will do our first ritual proper at this evening. Ray and I really feel that we are on our way now.

I look with respect and awe at some of the more senior, accomplished adepts and feel excited by my path.

Later in the day, I am presented with a book; in the front is a Certificate of Achievement. I get a gift too, an amulet of [see private notes].

We have a large group ritual before leaving Tiphareth for Kether. We are all robed and it is very powerful.

A group of us going in a small coach to Kether. It feels like an outing, a bit like mystery tour.

We arrive at the imposing building and are also to a side room to prepare for the great ritual. We are not as deeply involved here; this one is for the greatest adepts and we are in attendance for them.

There are parts of the ritual spoken in another language, and actions that we don't understand fully yet.

We feel the power here, and I am encouraged by the support and brotherhood that is clearly visible.

We leave a sunny and bright Binah only to find a little way out that we need to be taken across an icy, snowy patch by sled.

Today, we have practicals I ritual and everything is very down to earth. We everything from caring for our robes and tools to who stands where and things like timings; there is a lot to take and though the day does go very quickly, I feel quite tired by the end of it since we seemed to spend much of the time on our feet.

Today, we arrive at Kether and are taken in by a side entrance near the back of the great building. We are shown how the bells are rung and the flags are raised or lowered, and other hidden machinery workings.

Then, to our surprise, we find that we are to lead the ritual today.

Deep end experience.

The group is quietly supportive and any mistakes or nerves seem to be understood and passed over.

Truly a great brotherhood.

Abrahadabra - TS1 with The Fool on Path 11 – Arbadaharba

Twin Star gift is a silver tray.

At Kether, there is a celebration and a firework display for us all. Ray, myself and most of the others will be leaving for various places after this; we are stepping out into the world and are to become more independent. Much learning has been done in theory and practice and we are on our way to new adventures. So its off to Chokmah this evening and its already late.

Chokmah is quiet. Much of the business of the day has been completed, and the few that actually live there are settling into their easy chairs with bedtime drinks to watch the television. Ray and I sit with them and enjoy the cosyness until we are told that our beds are warm and ready.

It has been an exciting evening. Ray cannot sleep so we sit in my room and talk for awhile.

Ray and our on the train part way to Binah, and then we will be escorted by someone who will take us across the river, and then we get hired car. Somewhere along the way, we have attracted privileges.

Binah is bustling like a busy cathedral; lots of small and various gatherings around the altar are happening and its not long before we are called to a meeting in the westerly rooms behind the cave. Into another new room we go, tea arrives and after a brief stand around session catching up with news, we follow the others into a very comfortable drawing-room.

Things are a little slow, but in a good way since various mages are called to serve at the altar, so people come and go over the course of the day.

When we get to Binah, we are told to write our own rituals, not ordinary ones, but for outdoors, in any situation we may find ourselves in. (See private notes)

When we arrive at Tiphareth, many of us are asked to run through our rituals and get feedback and help. We share fresh food and wine as this is an informal setting in which we are encouraged to relax and be positive about our experiences.

We are given keys to lockers for our written ritual work, and all vow confidentiality.

Abr – TS8 with Strength on Path 19 – Rba

Ray and I are sat outside Chesed in a swing chair - it is known as The Place of Dreams. We take our breakfast there and then go by car with two other people to the foot of the mountain. We take the long easy walk up and round to join the cable car on the south side which is the hardest part of the journey.

The view from the top is extensive and I ponder awhile. What you see with your physical eyes is not the total of what you get; there are many hidden doors to be unlocked.

After a relaxing morning and a salad lunch at Chesed; we set off for Tiphareth.

The theme of the day is trust, and there are exercises in that with our eyes closed. There is sincerity as we practice these exercises.

A – TS10 with The Wheel on Path 21 – A

A little gym work, light breakfast and fresh orange juice sets us off for Netzach.

We are meeting our old group for lunch and exchanging gifts, since we have all been graded and achieved something on our journey.

A few are choosing slightly different paths now, but mostly, we have become settled and convicted of our callings.

There is much talk about and our group has gained a mature, relaxed air compared to the excitable one it had when we were starting out.

A – TS10 with The Balance on Path 22 – A

Ray and I are at Geburah on the mountain. The weather is mixed, but we remain as we are, unaffected by it. We take the cable car down halfway and connect to guide who will get us to Tiphareth.

We enter Tiphareth in the Western entry points - this is new because we didn’t know these were there.

We are to do a ritual for the good of the world; there are themes and entities to call, but these are not spelled out and instead, they are not as one might expect.

We take the cable car to Hod.

Hod is a little unkempt as sun and rain have fostered growth of the little garden area.

It is so good to be back at Hod again. It is one of my favourite places.

Ray and I have an afternoon of remembering our earlier visits; we laugh a lot and celebrate a few things privately with wine in hand. Ray cooks whilst I wipe away a few cobwebs and pluck a few weeds in the garden.

Today it feels like we are shedding old skins and there is new growth and freshness.

We are sent to the town after ritual to sense energies. We have strict instructions about invading people's personal space and auras and are only allowed to detect the energies that touch us. Because Ray and I are very connected, we have decided to work together for a while then separate and see what the differences are.

ABRA(hadabra) – TS7 with Alchemy on Path 25 – (arbadah)ARBA

At Tiphareth, we are in different robes and the colour has changed. The theme seems to be changed and taking on a new form; as in transformation.

We decide to walk some of the way to Hod before getting a car to take us the rest of the way. It is refreshing to be outside among greenery and the breeze.

When we arrive at Hod, we see a stranger passing by. A deer stares and watches us approaching before taking off.

There is a little repair to guttering the Ray takes care of before we settle down to meditate. We are aware that the little cabin has become a bit small for us now since we have accumulated many papers and books and our rituals have become more advanced, requiring a different kind of space. We discuss whether we need to find a larger cabin or add an extension onto this one. We note that seeing a stranger around means that the isolated location of the place is being lost. We reluctantly decide to find something even further off the beaten track even though we will lose some of the convenience of this much loved cabin. We consider attachments thoughtfully until dusk.

ABRAH(adabra) – TS6 with The Horned One on Path 26 – (arbada)HARBA

Yesod is stormy, at least the weather is rainy and the see lively. We are sat in an anchored rowing boat, and every so often a wave crashes against the side and sea spray splashes over us. It is a bit scary and funny too, even so we abandon the boat and go under a shelter. Eventually the sun comes out brightly and we sit see it in silence until the street lamps come on behind us and we go for supper.

We are off to Hod. When we arrive, we start to pack our things ready to move into the new Hod cabin.

The new place is a stone cottage, there are several rooms downstairs and a couple of attic rooms. It's not homely forests yet, and there is no obvious ritual space, until we explored the garden. We find a little shared, which turns out to be much larger than first glimpses suggest.

The Twin Star gives me a wonderful secret gift.

There is a carnival in Netzach today, so we take a little of that in before setting off the Yesod.

Oh delightful, there is something similar on the beach here too!

Ray and I enjoyed the fun appreciating the more ordinary side of our lives.

The Twin Star has given me a beautiful lotus flower for meditation purposes.

ABRAHADA(bra) – TS- with The Ocean on Path 29 – (arb)ADAHARBA

There is a second day of celebrations in Netzach and although the carnival is over, there are stalls of every kind, competitions and general fun still going on. Like yesterday, this is fun to be in.

Malkuth is far, so we take a bus there. Changes are happening when we arrive, rooms are being changed around and the centre has expanded a little.

We meet some people we have met before and settle in the pool area for the afternoon.

I feel relaxed and settle into a nice lounger to read fiction which is most unusual for me.

We are packed and ready to go to the new Hod, but for now, we are due to leave for Yesod.

We are exploring the east cliff since we have never climbed that side before. Ray has brought binoculars so that we can bird watch. We think and talk a little about focusing and its meaning in magick. We decide to be mindful when we move into the new Hod, focussing on our needs for that new place.

Ray and I finish cleaning the old Hod cabin and prepare to leave for the last time. We have let go of our attachment to the place and look forward eagerly to the new Hod. This afternoon, however, we are off to Malkuth; it is a free afternoon mainly, so we can take poolside seats, have a sauna, take a massage or anything we like - our only obligation is to select an area of extra-curricular study for the next term.

It's a glorious day, a great to be alive kind of day.

Abrahadabra – TS1 with The World on Path 32 – Arbadaharba

The Twin Star confers a blessing on Ray and I.

This morning we are having a very civilised late breakfast on the veranda overlooking the beautiful coast line.

After this, we walk to Malkuth and arrive to find is a party going on; it has just started , and it is for all the travellers as each and every one of us and arrives. The atmosphere is very light into clean with happy exchanges.

What a truly wonderful day.
