Here are some great tips I've put to use over the years about handling Alien Abduction and preventing it. I really do still believe there are some beings out there who you just do not want around you. My recent experiences have underlined the importance of being able to discern between enemies and friends. I don't feel these tactics will become worthless for a while. Although this article has strong religious overtones, the procedures do actually help. I only share it because I feel it may be of use to other people, and not necessarily because I wish to be sensational. I really hate space aliens for my own personal reasons.

To comment on a few of these:
Iron is an excellent magical shield. You'll find iron work and other iron elements (for example, the iron water tank shielding a floor of the Smith Tower, in Seattle that my great grandfather built) Iron can also be used to build permanent hellgates.
Water is another excellent magical shield. A lot of research was done on this subject by Robert Bruce in his book Neo (?) Psychic Self Defense. Sometimes the safest place to be is your shower or sitting on the toilet because of the pipes under the ground.
Fans are helpful...they disrupt the air and disperse chi which causes astral visitors who don't have the proper authority to dissipate. They simply can't hold form. This is a principal found in the tradition of Feng-Shui (the flow of dragon's breath dispersed by wind stops at the boundary of water)
I don't agree with leaving windows closed, because of the other measures that can be taken are more than enough to compensate. Fresh air during the night is important.
In place of an image of Jesus (I think Jesus is a fine image, really - all personal quarrels aside) I would use an image of Durga or a Asian dragon (korean, japanese, chinese, doesn't matter - korean is probably one of the best choices for defense) Or a print of the twinstar...oh hell you can't even buy one off of Zazzle. There was a point where I took it upon myself to go to extremes. I had like $5 and I needed some major protection. (You would not believe the shit I have to put up with - even the demons are more well behaved) So I went down to the local magick shop...actually they are voodoo shops here, lol...and bought four obsidian stones - volcanic glass and buried them at the four corners of my property on the advice of the store owner. Then I used a technique from india that involves burning garlic and onions in an iron frying pan. And on top of that I helped the kids draw all kinds of planetary sigils above beds. For about a month we had been relying on mantra alone - it is also a very powerful tool.
You can say any of the following, said with intent:

Om nama durga ma
Om nama ningishzidda
Om nama mithras
om nama vishnu
om nama nrsrimadeva
Or sing:
Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare
Speaking of demons, they are also very good protectors. I reccomend asking a demon you like for a good familiar, link it to a cat, (just offer the cat to it) the demon will move in and you'll have a cool pet and protector....keep it around when you're feeling scared...

Oh yeah, Black Sabbath and some neoclassical heavy metal makes a great wall of destructive sound, but you need to really blast it so the vibe will seep into the walls and enchant your place with the emanations. I also use really loud Tibetan invocation recordings which are quite efficient. Bach, Vivaldi and Mozart for you picky people...
