I would have posted these in Qabalah but they really were made for me to try and figure out the primal spiritual path.

Very interesting Trees Darin!

Let me know if you find the original on the first one. I'd like to be able to see all of these in proper detail...

I'll need to scan them some more to have any useful input. I am rather fascinated by how the *yung-drung* symbolism (swastika) appears to keep reasserting itself throughout this site...

Very interesting Trees. I understand that they are quite personal, but the exercise of mapping your life (among other things) to the ToL is a good one. I too would like to see a full version of the first pictures.

That symbol is a stained glass window above the altar at my church.

well that's interesting! I was under the impression you were still a practicing Catholic? Perhaps I got that wrong...this would not ordinarily strike me as a Catholic symbol! It originates with the Bon religion, historically...

Dude, thats Ezekiels wheel! It is stylized but it is Ezekiels wheel and the same symbol is described all throughout the bible especially in Revelations.

The swastika is red at judgement, gold at rapture and white in the end. I dont know about the green arm but the background is always a blue circle and figure is surrounded by a rainbow.

You'll find that symbol all over the older Catholic churches. The Church I go to is build on the model of the Jewish temple, some Egyptian tombs and follows sacred geometry perfectly. In the exact center of the swastika is a white dove with a red halo and directly below it on the floor is a black raven with a white halo. If your into alchemy you'd get lost in my Church for days.

yeah...sounds like it. Ok...well now I have some homework to do cuz I know for sure the Yung-Drung is from the Bon...there's references all over the Internet...it's their main religious symbol. I'll have to look into Ezekiels' Wheel...first I've ever heard of it...

This syncretic stuff is a gas...what an amazing thing for two completely different universes to have in common!

Ever since I saw that flaming swastika in the center of my brain in a psychic vision I have tried to find every instance of it. The mayan world tree looks like it and there is an Taoist alchemy scroll that has it in the shape of a dragon too. I will search out the Yung-Drung now.

Hello Darin,

I'm curious where you developed your correpsondences for the sefirot from. I'm not sure how you came to place (in #18) Shelter and Feed Yourself in Hokmah or, for example #26 why Cross the abyss is in Netzach. Did you just utilise the the shape of the tree of did you also take into consideration tradition Jewish, Hermetic, Christian and Western Esoteric Kabbalistic sources. Finally, #30 you have as Internalization of the Collective Unconscious. I'm not sure what you mean by that. From the description I would say you are refering to an archetypal image of the self or, despite the gender specific aspect, the anima.

Thanks for posting these.

I want to show you another very important connection on this symbol I think you will want to know. The ramifications of this are really quite startling. This has to do with the Lo Shu Diagram from ancient China, around which the entire I Ching System of Hexagrams are constructed. It also stands central to the 729 ternary hexagrams of the Tai Hsuan Ching.

This is a magickal square arrangement in which all the arms add up to 25 no matter how you arrange them. I am not sure why this pattern appears to have not been publicly released before. I discovered it quite by accident in a conversation I was having with Ratatosk right here on these forums... Adding the arms together = 50, a venerated number in the I Ching and also the number of letters in Sanskrit.

This is a very important connection and one I have only just begun to really explore personally... A Taoist Alchemist needs to be aware of this since there is a whole system of elements corresponding to it via the ternary bigrams. It also corresponds directly to the *Nine Chambers* of Qabbalah...

I utilized just the shape and I was refering to the anima. I am trying to figure out how it all started and to discover the "first" tree.

Could you start a new thread with this so we can post every swastika looking figure we can find and try to puzzle out its original meaning?

…Darin I think you may enjoy reading the following blog.
It connects Ezekiel’s ‘vision’ to Ezekiel’s wheel = Wheel of Fortune Card X = Precession of the Equinoxes and of course the SwastiKA … and for good measure … why not Solomon’s Knot / Celtic Knot / Endless Knot and the Greek Zodiacal Cross?
