How do I consolidate posts?

I'm trying to cleanup my journal but I can't seem to figure out how to delete blank posts that have already been consolidated (to avoid extra posts) can someone help me please?

deletion of posts times out after 24-48 hours (can't remember which) for all members. This is a vBulletin default that mainly serves to keep topic continuity reasonably intact so I don't really have any reason to change it. I doubt it could be changed just for one member anyway...

In general...the best policy is not to post unless you are fairly confident of your post to begin with...
