The akh, ba, ka, and khaibit comprise the core components of the soul, according to Egyptian religious thought. Each, with the exception of the akh, operate independently of the other, although they find their nexus within the first. They also provide a unique insight into how a lycanthropic or vampiric spirituality can lead to the apotheosis found within Luciferian Gnosis.

To begin, let us look at the latter three, then culminate with the akh. The ba is considered the seat of all that makes a person what they are. It is one's Jungian self, the true personality of an individual. Along with the ba, the ka is the second souce of what a person is. Unlike the ba, the ka is less a source of personality and more the animating force (it has, however, been compared to the psyche). Finally, we have the khaibit, which most call the "shadow." In essence, it is quite close to what we understand the Jungian shadow to be - a place where the "dark" aspect of our nature resides. While all three of these partake in the funerary offerings, it is often the khaibit which consumes the most and (following a possible line of deduction) fuels the ba and the ka as they move about. Upon death, it is said that the ba and ka combine to create the akh. At other times, it is said that the ba and the khaibit combine. Perhaps this depends on how the soul is judged, perhaps not. What I can say is that true balance of the dayside (ka) and the nightside (khaibit) will result in a perfect union of three into a powerful akh.
How, then, do we draw in enough sekhem, enough libido to empower our immaterial selves? Through our khaibit, as this is the predatory side of the soul. If we learn to separate the khaibit, to move through it, and to utulize our connection with it during its depredations, we are going to draw in the sekhem needed to the vitilization of will. Once we have learned this, our lycanthropic and vampiric selves will serve us quite faithfully, allowing us to unify all parts of the self and turn our faces from the hall of Osiris toward the north, the abode of Set and the Dark Mother Typhon.
