If we take a normal human being as our puppy for this thread, making an assumption that the normal healthy human being is empowered akin to how children behave. Then we make another assumption that whenever the human subject suppresses some part/aspect of itself, it becomes de-empowered about that aspect, which is the same as to loose an attribute of oneself. The part is still there and active, but it is just disconnected from accessing the rest. When enough parts get hurt and suppressed, the overall energy level is decreased in direct relation to how many suppressed parts there are. When suppressing something, one exercises mental control over it, which in turn tightens up the body and the mind. This mental control will also have it's share of the energy-pie, which means that it takes both energy to keep the part suppressed, as well as loosing the parts energy.
We all know how fun it is to look at ourselves as all-powerful gods, juggling multiverses with vast fireworks, but how easily it is shattered by a mere moth who lands on a hurt part *grin*.
Depending on our fears and how we perceive reality, we conjure up all kinds of symbolical links to this hurt part, with usually a guardian protecting the hurt part, which simultanously contains the suppressed emotion. The more deeply one has suppressed it from ones source, the more it might look cloddy and take upon weird proportions. For myself the hurt part(which is me) is countered by the action or the person making that hurt part. Which means that the guardian will be the action/person containing the emotion one wanted to express. Well this is the core of it atleast. Depending on how one functions, the way to the guardian and the part might be laid with all kinds of hinderings and slowdowns. The Guardian itself might be anything from demonic satan clawz to some benevolent god trying to eat you up by being 'nice' to you :D This might lead to a situation where ones True Power lurks in the dark and menancing blackness. Hence shadow-power.
So this thread would be about various techniques/discussion as how to approach those tension points and release the underlying 'thing'. And/or how to manipulate those Guardians without having to go through the emotion, which would enable to still use the hurt part, without yet going through it. Art/Expression/etc. is of course one quite powerful method in making the emotion conscious, but I'm myself more interested in more scientific/technological approaches to this.
