Thanks-will look into that, then..if you like "vulgar" and everyday Latin then also you may want to look into the commedies of Plautus (e.g. Miles Gloriosus) and Seneca's Apocolocyntosis [the Pumpkinization (pun on deification) of Emperor Claudius]-

Get a bilingual version of the texts, its real fun (for you CCD: if you know German e.g. those texts are available in bilingual Recalm editions- the orange coloured ones)...yeah thats fun- Id also like to be able to curse in the old Sumerian language etc..:)

p.s. a bit OT: my fav Latin writer is Q. Horatius Flacchus btw- he has some very pointed and sarcastic style, yet very refioned and classical, and also writres good things on poetic theory etc...
