Since there is a lot of calendrics here would it not be cool, if possible, if the Calendar feauter on this forum did not follow the Gregorian Calendar?

Maybe it could in brackets or something so people not well-versed in other calenders can know what day it is in the Gregorian Calendar.

I know Anibis was trying to work something out,
but I think the software was resisting his efforts...

I suspected as much... everything digital is run on the Gregorian Calendar.

Oh well...

It's kinda like attempting to do 'microtonal' music
(anything other than 12-tone equal tempered)
on a mass-produced keyboard instrument...

The more elaborate ($$$) ones allow you some
flexibility, but the cheaper ones are 'locked'...

I'm not sure if ANYONE had designed a 'make your own calendar' program that actually allowed you to tinker with the form of the calendar itself. Of course there are Mayan Calendar trackers and such, but so far, no Thoth Count, or other sorts... I did try to mark the transition days on the calendar, however the program kept trying to correct for greenwich mean time, which suprisingly enough bears no real relationship to Mercury at all... ah well...

If you could give me the specifics of the calendar you want to implement I may be able to come up with a PHP library to do it. I can't give you a time scale for that, but I would guess sometime after the first couple weeks of next month - once I am moved and into the groove of my new job.

And speaking of groove, man...

That's a groovy 'tar, Rat...

Doood, tarrat is a palindrome...

Ahh man, so is doood...

Far out...

It's not Thoth Count, and I am not a computer wizkid, but could THIS (http://www.hermetic.ch/cal_sw/maya/mgc.htm) give someone some ideas.

I am going to say that this whole site (http://www.hermetic.ch/index.php) is very interesting, and that the fact that you can get a cd with all of these useful programs on it is pretty cool. I have a mac so it's not ideal for me, but I urge people to take a good look at what these guys have built. Thanks for the inititial link Deviadah.

Here (http://pweb.jps.net/~tgangale/mars/mercury/moss.htm) is another very different mercurial calendar. This fellow is building calendars that would be useful to beings actually living on these planets. Mine are designed for those who are ultimately living on earth.
