I've been working with the mantric formula for the First Cirlce in a bit more focused way lately, and one thing I've discovered is that the phonetics of the mantra seems to recapitulate the energy path cast. More specifically, when we sound AH, mouth is open and jaw is back, then when we sound OH, our jaw swings down and around, at M, our jaw moves up to close, and with GN, our jaw moves back as we press our tongue against our palatte. Roughly, our jaw ends up drawing a circle (although the circle starts and ends at the back-of-the-neck side, rather than the top).

On using mantra, I would find it quite useful to have a sonic dictionary of both individual "letters", in various magical languages, particularly hebrew. Does anyone know if one exists. Also, would it be possible for you, m1thros, to post an audio file of the mantras in the First Circle and Triangle ? In general, I'd like to do some more study of the technical aspects of pronouncing mantra. Any links to resources on this would be appreciated.

One of the most useful things I've fond with this stuff is the concept of resonance. That means getting the sound vibrating way up in your head, and not just buzzing at your throat. On way of achiving this has been described to me as this: imagine the air from your lungs reaching way up to the high part of the back of your throat (you can feel it by snorting like a pig). Another thing I find helpful in achieving resonance is to pronounce the sounds with my mouth closed, but my jaw way open and the tongue relaxed.
