A student just turned me on to this site:

http://www.pandora.com/

its part of the music genome project.
basically you start a channel by selecting an artist or song, and then a neural net programs a unique channel for you based on your responses as the music helix grows,

I started a channel with Interpol, and after two responses, I've heard a bunch of new bands in that gene-pool that I hadn't heard before and that I like.
One can even share channels with friends.
I believe we could start an abrahadabra series of channels, both of popular and spiritual music.

Disclaimer: I have NO commercial interest in the site---just passing on a good find.

This will be fun if everyone throws their cool songs in, I love listening to other people's musical favorites...

Funny it came up with "Lamps" and "God Vs. Science" for the first titles, awful songs but great coincidence.

Cool Sibylle! Are you adding songs?

edit:

oh awesome I figured out how to add songs now

extra edit:

Lord. I don't know why but this lineup sucks. I added cool songs too...I sure as hell hope this gets better, my ears are going to stage a revolt...

Man our radio station rocks now, they just played The Next Episode by Dr. Dre and Enter Sandman from Metallica (live). It just goes from one extreme to the other....
