What vitamins or supplements are everyone taking? I mean every day and not just once in awhile, also why do you take them?
Myself:
Morning
1. General Multi-vitamin - round out nutrition
2. 2 baby aspirin - inflammation and heart health
3. 500mg combined EPA & DHA, Fish Oil - inflammation and general health
Afternoon
1. 100mg Q-10 - antioxidant and energy
2. 400mg Acetyl L-Carnitine - aging and mitacondria energy
3. 200mg Alpha Lipoic Acid - aging and mitacondria energy

Same with Anibis- nothing of that sort. I enjoy good food and take my vitamins via vegetables and meat and fish etc...(and alc!! ;)...and (mineral) water!)...I dont know if its true but I also heard that pharmaceutically produced vitamins (ascorbin acid or whatever) arent as effective as the ones contained in grown things...but that depends also on things like pollution (of the soil/water etc..), I guess.

Oh it's some Swedish brand... it is a Vegan Supplement and contains all the necessary minerals/vitamins and antioxidants. I am sure they can aid you in a pharmacy or better yet a health store.

Pharmaton is a new one. This is the first I have ever heard of it.
Can you actually feel a difference when taking it?

I'm going to look into getting that Pharmaton - looks pretty interesting. Is it expensive, and how many capsules, etc. do you get (i.e. is it value for money)?
At the moment I take an effervescent Vitamin C tablet in water each morning, which is around 1,200% or the recommended daily amount. I usually also take a multi-vitamin of around half the recommended daily amount of the core vitamins.
During my day I also day a "super-food" of ground seed and berries, with flaxseed, sunflower seed, sesame seed, pumpkin seed, and goji berries. It's packed with nutrients, vitamins, Omega 3, 6 (and 12, I think), and anti-oxidants, among other things. I take between one and two spoonfuls a day (tablespoon).
I sometimes take Colloidal Silver as a kind of antibiotic for chest infections, etc., also. This would be a teaspoon a day.

I might have to look into it.
I can tell a difference is overall energy and fatigue level from Acetyl L-Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid supplementation.
I haven't made up my mind about Q-10 as of yet. I haven't really felt an increase in energy levels from this dosage. Not sure if I should increase the milligrams or scrap it. Although along with evidence that it increases energy it is a powerful anti-oxidant so I should be getting secondary results from it.

Well I have a huge interest in human enhancement and longevity. I am pragmatic, I know I will get old and die and I have no issues with that, but I want the later years to be quality ones. I mean I could almost live forever hooked to machines running my body processes, but what would be the point? I want quality, not quantity.
To do so you really have to start fairly young and maintain it into the years. My plan is to start with the most researched and far reaching things to do and slowly integrate others on down the list.
Obviously the cheapest and biggest impact comes from diet and exercise. I believe I have that mostly done. The last two years I have been on a very low carbohydrate diet, to reduce insulin surges. I run, cycle, and do low level weight training five or six times a week. For heart health and over all fitness.
Although I am not on a caloric restriction diet for longevity per say I have decreased my daily calories moving toward that goal. You have to integrate that slowly or you damage yourself.
Next comes supplements. I believe inflammation is the number one ager. Hince the fish oils and aspirin. Meditation and stress relief also figures into this as well. There are others but less researched. If and when they come along as valuable I will either switch or add them in.
Next is celleruar aging, so the addition of Alpha Lipoic Acid, Acetyl L-Carnitine, and Co Q-10. I am currently trying these out as new additions before looking at others or moving on to the next level. Some of the nootropics seem interesting but not sure how much of the data is confirming as of yet.

Have you considered a Glutamine/Glycine supplement, Nero?
It facilitates uptake of HGH which slows as we age.
I noticed a HUGE difference when I added it to my regimen, specifically in muscle recovery.
I've always thought that was a bizarre thing...the body continues to produce HGH but stops uptaking it well. Who's design idea was that???? :o_O:

No I was unaware of Glutamine/Glycine role in HGH. I do take a general protein powder after workouts which has a lot of the amino acids in it. I will have to check the label and see it those two are included.
I'll have to look into it. I do eat a lot of fish and meat so I probably get enough already but will research more and see if I should consider supplementation. Thanks for the tip!
Btw, the human body was not designed for the long run. It was made to be strong and healthy and shrug off almost any injury for as long as you were able to breed. Once that declines the warranty runs out. According to biology our only purpose in life is to reproduce...

The therapeutic dosage for Glutamine is 6-10 grams...yes grams...daily.
I do somewhere around 4-5 grams x3 daily.
I also eat oodles of protein, but add that regardless.
I do believe that the EAS protien shakes have it in therapeutic dosages....and don't taste like ass and have zero sugar which is rare for anything with that much whey protein in it.
