Did we miss us???

we just experienced an unscheduled site upgrade but a very good one. while we are on a new server we were still sharing server space with a couple other forums. Zonaxx decided to go ahead and bump us to our own server so this site now runs on a true dedicated server status. major upgrade. Many thanks to Zonaxx for this unexpected Xmas present!

So when that happens there is an interruption in service that takes place while the the new server address is propogated across the net...they usually tell you 24-72 hours and we were probably somewhere closer to the lower end of that...

A little confusion I know but it's all to the good. Thanks for your patience folks...

yeah...it's beyond cool. Zonaxx doesn't talk much around here but he's good people and he's cut us out a really sweet little piece of internet real estate. People might want to thank him every now and then but he's not even looking for that...

the main thing I think is to be aware of it and try to keep the quality around here as good as we can get it. Nothing lasts forever but he's given us no deadlines or anything like that. He's got a vested interest in forum communities going way back and he's made a commitment to helping this one along...

doesn't get much better than that.

Well, I informed myself via the zoints profile of m1.- and knew about that upgrade. That Zonaxx guy is some sort of Tao feature it seems....yeah the best help is the one that is given not only freely but absolutely non-caringly and cooly- somehow "objectively": if someone falls down just pick him up and go your way. Thats the ideal.
