January sixteenth, nineteen ninety is a day I will never forget. That day I projected my consciousness out of my body. Now that is nothing special to be sure. I had done that many times before and since. What set this journey apart from all the others is that I wrote it down. I then kept recording them in a journal.

If you only take one piece of advice from me, take this one. Keep a journal. Prior to 1990 I made a partial peace with my OBE’s. I sought to learn all I could about my new freedoms and limitations.
Before I would leave my body I usually felt an electric like vibration. It was very energizing. I found the Old English King James version of the bible had a name for this. It was called the Quickening and it was very distinctive. So when I felt the quickening I would relax. This would usually allow me to leave my body.

When I left my body I found that I had to not think too much and remain emotionally detached. If I didn’t I would inevitably loose focus and return to my body. Plus extreme emotion returned me to my body. Full Moons seemed the time when this experience was strongest and most likely to occur.
In order to make the best of my out of body experiences I had to remain very calm and focused. I also had to maintain an extreme level of alertness. I had to sort of remind myself all the time I was out of body without using words.

If I found myself losing focus I would concentrate on a single object. A chair or even my own hands could be used as a sort of anchor for my psyche. It also helped to have a prearranged plan of action before I left. A major limitation of being out of body was the fact I couldn’t touch anything. I also couldn’t be seen even when I wanted to be seen.

I did find that things invested with psychic energy as in blessings or ritually charging gained a second body also. I had a ritually charged rod I could take with me when I left my body if it was in my physical hand when I left. Plus I found leaving my body while wearing any of my blessed silver crosses nearly impossible.

Here is a list of what I learned was possible when in the out of body state. These are on a good day of course. There were times when I could feel I was out of my body and I could barely open my astral eyes.

1) Instantaneous Travel- spirit body may instantly travel anywhere by thinking of the place you wish to go and intending it to happen.

2) Perfect Vision- spirit eyes see by means of a spirit light. This light does not come from the sun. It is bright enough to see perfectly with night and day.

3) Mutability- spirit body may change form, size, color and even its number with intent.

4) Rider within- spirit body may cohabitate another living body and perceives the world as the other living being does. This does not mean you can control it.

5) Psychics- the stronger the spirit body becomes the stronger and more reliable psychic abilities become.

6) Possession- the rider within may if the will is strong enough take full control of cohabitate being.

7) Phylactery- spirit may be bound to a physical object. This allows the spirit to remain for extended periods after the death of the physical body.

8) Vampirism- spirit body may gain limited physical existence by absorbing the essence from freshly spilt blood. It may also gain substance from absorbing the energy released from another in sexual passion.

Your experiences are different from mine...when i go out, I usually go way out...across the country instantly or into outer space most of the time....it's very rare that I am able to remain in my room or walk around a hallway, though it has occurred.

I like your list of astral possibilities, that's good...

When is your book coming out?
