I'm giving this worm composting thing a try since the outdoor compost heap just won't grow big enough to do anything with and since I seem to be the only family member that actually produces waste that can be composted.
I've got my worms started on week-old wilted spinach, melon rind, and banana peel that I put through the food processor to chop up finely. After that, I'm just waiting and periodically digging up more worms(from the too-small compost heap and under the lawn). I'm going to end up using the compost that the worms produce to fill containers and use them to grow herbs and start seedlings since the soil in the backyard is too bad to work in right now(it's clay).

Worms look really, really silly when they're having sex, btw.
Edit:
A picture of my worms in their bucket. Only the newest additions are visible, I have at least as many or 1.5 times as many already mixed in.
