A couple of images that explore the permutations
and distribution of 4 unique elements...

Doubling as Jupiterian talismans... ;)

The distribution pattern resembles
4 interlocking Tau crosses:

The Tau cross (http://altreligion.about.com/library/glossary/symbols/bldefscross.htm) was a symbol of the Roman God Mithras
and the Greek Attis, and their forerunner Tammuz, the
Sumerian solar God, the consort of the Goddess Ishtar.

Tammuz, like Christ, was associated with fishing and shepherding.
The Tau cross takes the shape of the letter of his name,
and is one of the oldest letters known.

A solar god, the death and resurrection of
Tammuz were celebrated every spring.

The custom of marking the forehead with
a cross of ashes dates back to these rituals.

Esoterically, the Tau represents a gate or opening, symbolic death.

It's interesting that this gives you the LoShu in internal squares...I've looked at this before just in the LoShu itself...9 chambers via 16 points etc...

Yeah, I highlighted the LoShu in the top
image too with the nine grey dots...

And you know, we see that particular
mechanism (like a portal between realms)
in many images, i.e. 9 triangles within 10 points...

I like it. I also like your linking of Mithras with Tammuz, I never heard of that but it sounds right.

Weird... there is someting non-symmetrical with the second pic (the 4 interlocking Tau crosses)!

I had to point this out because your images are often 100% symmetrical!

Comments?

PS
This is not a critique!

D

I was just telling MM yesterday that the non-100% symetry was what I liked about that one. Funny!

LoShu Diamond with Saturn Sigil

(aka: By Cronos, it's elemental)

I enjoy how the sigil's horizontal path passes over the two
triangles thereby creating the symbols for earth and air...

Weird... there is something non-symmetrical...

Comments?

Well, it's almost rotationally symmetrical...

I was a little lazy concerning the correct manner in
which the color layers should overlap, so you're
picking up on those subtle inaccuracies, good eye...

I shouldn't get sloppy...

Elemental Saturn Too

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q48/MythMath/ELEMENTALSATURN2copy.jpg

Interesting bit with the symbols for
Yoni (O) and Lingam (+)...

O can also be used to represent Heaven and
+ (often inside a square or diamond or circle)
has been used to express the 'four-square' Earth...

That places Jen/Man (*) correctly
between Heaven and Earth...
