So I'm alternating between the P'an Ku and Nu Kua mirrors, though it's a lot like getting into an overheated hot tub you have to do it gradually, in sessions. Early last year I couldn't handle the fucking Nu Kua mirror for more than a few minutes at a time, over the course of a few days. The P'an Ku mirror was similarily potent but in a more gentle and orderly way.

Now I'm on week-long extended sessions with both and the changes appear to be divided very very clearly:

The Nu Kua mirror is more aggressive towards opposition than the P'an Ku mirror is, rather than advising to ignore or "ditch" unwanted influences, the Nu Kua mirror advises attack, both direct and subtly agains the target, whether it's a person, problem or addiction.

The NK mirror has a masculine side which I just picked up on last night (I switched over at the onset of the dark of the moon) I had not noticed this aspect previously perhaps because of internal bias, but it is there, running in the background somehow. The P'an Ku mirror similarily has to have a feminine side I've missed up until now. The Vedas and Taoism support this theory as it is suggested in India "All males and females are also equally feminine and masculine in perfect harmony" attributes considered masculine or feminine often come to the surface where other qualities are not considered.

The Nu Kua mirror makes me much stronger and masculine (by common parameter definitions) destruction, mayhem, madness, subterfuge and coordinated attack seem to be the underlying values awaked by the mirror.

These are probably latent within me and the mirror is just an activator for them, but I assume persons would find similar results if they compared notes.

The feeling is very good, it's a very potent mirror that supports and advises along similar lines with the P'an Ku mirror but does not hesitate to add additional diversions or courses that the P'an Ku does not suggest.

There seems to be a "catch" to the two mirrors like they don't fully line up on all sides but they compromise for the sake of chaos vs. order to promote diversity. This is all occurring at a very detailed and high level so I'm just skimming the surface from a human perspective.

I spend less time with the Nu Kua mirror, because the P'an Ku mirror advises it. Interesting eh? It's taken me quite a while to come to these conclusions, I've had to watch them both carefully to see what effects they produce. It seems on one hand, the Nu Kua mirror says "You are strong and capable, you will effect the will of heaven upon earth" while the P'an Ku mirror says "I am strong and powerful, lean on me for support and do what I advise, everything will be ok."

these are interesting observations Naomi...I will need to think about it a bit before saying anything, except that it should come as no surprise that either arrangement has its Yin and Yang aspects since both arrangements are balancing 64 hexagrams, 32 of which are Yin and 32 Yang, no matter how we are defining them. This is always the case with horizontal pairs and even the King Wen system follows this distinction with its vertical-opposites pairing...

If you recall the first few instances of 'ignition' in regards to me personally what I am leaning towards is that the lacings of this Nu Kua mirror were already attempting to cross over to the influences of the P'an Ku mirror without even being present in visual form. This could have been extremely helpful in balancing out some of the more extreme phenomenon such as the sensation of being dead, trapped or even eaten alive - normal Chod practice and an exciting affirmation I was on the right track, but, I think, unsettling for anyone else. The route through all of this is buried in Buddhist texts and the Vedas so it's not completely innaccessible, yet, I think this kind of occurrence is much rarer than it used to be with the loss of guarded teachings and people to teach them, so one has to makeshift a pathway where there is none. Some sort of cosmic machete...this is why, I think, I would advise the use of some kind of navigator.

The kind of debris in the Nu Kua mirror is startling. Actually, that's not at all the case, I should say rather, the portions of physical mind the Nu Kua mirror acts upon is extremely tainted with pollution in the human body for whatever reason. I want to say this is not the case for everyone but that is likely not true, simply by virtue of the fact that I know most of my *problems* are dealt with up front and immediately rather than waiting until the last minute. I think that I'm very much in a position to be as unbiased as a female can get with the two mirrors, and the Nu Kua one relays extremely violent imagery right off the layout that is difficult to suppress.

Again I don't think this is occurring as a matter of the mirror itself but as a result of the lack of human contact with proper unsealed universe, again returning to the idea of the 'division' spoken of in the Book of the Law, but tht's for another thread I guess.
