I didn't take K seriously when he said tomatoes were bad for you, I knew they were in the nightshade family, but damn,...here it says raw tomatoes are ok though:

And here's a surprise that I've been hearing rumors of over the past few years - soybeans are bad for you?

One of the best things I have found in recent years that has helped some really close friends of mine who had intestinal problems was Bentonite clay, which can be had very inexpensively at any local health food store for as little as $9 a bottle and lasts forever. It picks up heavy metals in the intestines such as lead and so on and coats the surface of the intestines to help heal and relieve stressed intestines as well as gunk up the works of any parasites living in there so they die. I really noticed a difference in my symptoms after having a few glasses per quarter of this stuff - just have to make sure to drink lots of water because bentonite is so drying (i learned the hard way)

But say if you were the ubiquitous "caveperson" you would be drinking this kind of clay down at the watering hole...animals have been observed leeching off of bentonite ponds and so forth.

Back to tomatos, now that is hard for me I love cooking italian but I guess ill just have to settle for pasta ala pusca from now on, oh well. I had a bad feeling about corn too and here it says the husks are actually really hard on the intestines, something Deimos mentioned to me last year - I didn't know you could cut your intestines with veggies...

Gold - the sphere of alchemy itself loves gold and no wonder - it's so essential in forming the nervous system. Most people are deficient in gold and I used to take a supplement once in a while seemed to assist the brain.

What a synch!!!

I had a friend tell me this yesterday!!!

Later today I will get a whole bunch of research papers that explain why this is so... I will have to document what they say after I've read them!

I never said that one shouldnt eat any tomatoes- what I mentioned was that they could be problematic if you have kidney-problems (cause they cool down the body etc.). I also eat them; e.g. a good meal and very filling too- is to make a salad with Greek feta cheese, tomatoes, olives and young onions/w olive oil (s&p)+ baguette....:)...for wine I'd go for a young white that can be mixed with lots of water if one likes...if you make pasta a simple tomato sauce is perfectly ok- apply fresh basil leaves on top...but if you like one w/o tomatoes then make a Carbonara (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbonara)- equally simple and tasty.

Yes very good I like carbonara, I also see here iceburg lettuce is not reccomended in this article because it's not a proper lettuce? They don't go into detail but I did have a bad feeling about it, it doesn't have many nutrients. Tasty, though. Romaine is a bit more expensive though.

I think I will just stick with the Chinese market - since I know how to cook their greens and they taste so much more delicious than any of the British crap they sell at the regular grocers, and costs twice as cheap.

I have in the past made feta cheese salads just like you said except without the onions, the problem is I think, although I love cheese I am very allergic to it in ways that are not obvious.

Here they say that soft cheeses like cottage cheese and feta are ok for the human body, but I don't know...when I look at my ancestral diets they didn't include Greek food unfortunately. :(

As an aside, I had bentonite clay last night and I woke up feeling like a mummy, since I didn't drink enough water due to falling asleep in bed at my computer. My intestines, they feel great though. I had been very hard on them recently with too little fiber and too much meat.

Yuppers...soybeans have a fair amount of phyto estrogens. BUT soy is also a very easy protein to uptake so long as it is thoroughly cooked. If not cooked soybeans tend to inhibit protein absorption.

The phyto-estrogen stuff isn't really an issue for most people unless they are body building and looking to get super ripped. Keep in mind competition bodyfat levels for guys are around 3.5-4% :eek:
