This is a song I've been working on. It is an acoustic piece and is not a proper recording by any means, but I think it sounds neat.

I'm thinking of taking that and then switching from the chord progression to a basic improv in the mixolydian mode over the key of Em. And then I want to play the bass over top of that in a lydian modal so that it still connects. It's all just interplay of the roots, the other notes are all the same. I'm glad you liked it.

I have no idea what you said just now but it sounds complicated and intriguing, go for it...

Heh, I'll post it when I record it. I'm sure that I will keep it an instrumental too. Think of "Light My Fire" by The Doors, I will have this work structured on the outside and then have a jam fest over all the easy permutations of the modes to add some meat to the center solo. It'll be a hoot. Basically, I'll post it when it is done.
