Just thinking about this mirrors approach in general.

It works well enough - but it seems a bit on the warping side of the coin.

What I mean by that is that it works strongly and effectively enough - as far as I can tell - by the feedback on this forum - but it seems to be rather to be missing a level of foresight for the actual result.

I do not meditate often - because every time I do - I enter into deep (or high) levels rather quickly. Since the day of passing the border of things I have been fighting a running battle to retain a certain level of functionality in relative terms to the terms set by common culture.

Above paragraph elicited for my standpoint.

When I ponder a mirror for - 20 seconds or less - it slams me - and I become rather irritated at being upgraded (or downgraded) so quickly, without warning.

Scanning the above writing has lead me to believe that I am wired for this approach - but that the method is blunt and counter productive too actual experience within a frame of veils - placed there to facilitate wisdom in hand with knowledge based upon the simple harmony of chaos constructed order.

Why post this I wonder?

Why post this I wonder?why the hell not? I think it's great you have ideas on this stuff Cove...

what you are addressing here though doesn't strike me as having anything really to do with the mirrors themselves so much as your approach at meditation I think...it should be understood that there are all kinds of options here...one may, for instance, prefer ritual magick as a formal meditation method and in a case like that the mirrors can be extrapolated and positioned more in that type of context...

No matter what tools you use you still have to find the applications that are best suited to you. I can't solve that for everybody and wouldn't want to even if I could...that's just a tad too micromanaging for my money and it cultivates a very poor grade of magicianship anyway...

Meaning much but meaning also little.

I agree with your post m1thr0s, but I would suggest generating mirrors that contain veils.

How these may be constructed one can should look to the platonic solids.

In one lane of an alley way at least.

Point being this site is dedicated to the proliferation of a certain form of occult practice for what not - and within that approach there could be a mild attention paid to the 'ergonomic' aspect.

Power is only useful when it can be used.

well...I have never experienced the problem you are speaking of personally, and for me it's all veiled to some extent anyway...

it depends on what you are working with...the Flower of Life veils the Tree of Life for instance, yet no image of the Tree of Life, no matter how bold, actually simulates the Tree itself...these things are just reflections we can use to get beyond these veils. I don't think we need to invest any additional time and energy in the veils themselves...

But as I say...I am not real clear on what this problem is and how you are perceiving it...

as for power being put to use...that's exactly what this is all about. :confused:

I reflected on this a moment ago because I was scolding my kids and I was trying to haul one off to the garage for time out where she could shriek out of earshot...I don't believe in hitting kids and that's the only way to shut them up when they're really angry about really rediculous things...

So I was like "shit ill just stuff her in here for a bit" and she wasn't happy about it so I was like "FINE go to your room and sit on the bed" (I was concentrating really hard on something and she was screaming because she wanted to sit next to her brother and elbow him while he was doing homework)

and then I realized the answer to this conundrum is that the mirrors are tapping into exactly that, like I was telling mythMath they're like "mom" and "dad" to me (The P'an Ku and Nu Kua mirrors) and that's the feeling they've always given me, they hooked me up with Ningishzidda - I could actually see them running through all of my circuits and all of my extensions (other people and material attachments) and determining the route to set me back on my true path and how to do it without breaking anything. They always tell me to do the right thing and they always know the right thing to say, so that's the way I look at it...it's not "pushy" it's just they're ineffably perfect at that level...

So yeah not like earth parents at all, actually, more like an idealized version...

Power? They gave me access to more power than I know what to fucking do with so I'm not complaining there either...and the little twinstar guy, he's like a giant shuriken, I like think of him like THIS:

They made me HAPPY, how do they do that?! and how did I get the courage to follow them blindly to find that out? I don't know!

I sort of regret that I don't make as much mischief anymore though.
