We've had a few very dominant voices lately and I don't think it's been all that good for the site as a whole...this isn't really supposed to be some sort of sitcom...

I'm turning a lot of my attention to a book right now that's going to require a lot of careful attention till it's finished...

I'm not too worried about it personally...I think it's just a shift in the wind...

It's summer. I spend all my spare time in the winter on the computer but summer is meant for camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, running, swimming and just being lazy on a creek bank.

a book? is it going to be on your alchemal therum>? i admit that i have difficulties wrapping my brain around your stuff...but i'm very tempted by a hardcopy version of your works to add to my collection.

i've been stuck city-bound myself as of late, but i hope that i soon will be in the forests as well..bare minimum i would at least like to attend a few barter faires this year.

I had rather hoped it could be done but I see now it just can't...not correctly in any case. There needs to be a start-to-finish presentation of ideas that flow logically and plug up all the gaps in route...

there's no ducking it...there has to be a book...probably at least several by the end of it. The first one will focus mainly on methodology...this is a meditation practice and people need to see how the hell it actually works. If that succeeds I can think about follow-up works that delve into underscoring principles...if it falls flat on its face cuz people still don't get it, I've still got the art it has inspired, which is considerable in itself...

anyway...it's a huge chore so it won't be out real soon...probably won't find anybody in this whole damn world with balls enough to publish it but I'm going to not think about that for the moment and just try to get it done...

Who needs publishers anymore...?

I could self-publish but distribution is a pain in the ass...better to sort out how to convince Sam Weiser to pull its head out of its ass and move into the 21st century...

we'll see...probably self-publication via the Institute or something...

That seems the most logical and direct place to start really whilst other things could be in the planning, bit like a launch pad. Site it, fire it up and then take off!

I've seen this before... people have periods of a lot of spare time and a lot of 'busy bee' time... I am in the middle of the latter at the moment.

It comes and goes in waves... but if it is a chat room you seek then perhaps this is not the place to be. I see it more as a nice HQ that one can return to after each battle on the field!

Quality before quantity!

Hopefully we won't see you disappear as all members can contribute something of worth to the site and the discussions - even if it isn't on a constant basis.

I never tend to post much here - others usually say whatever it is I might have offered better and quicker - but I still enjoy keeping up with what's going on around here.

I also agree that it is pretty typical for most boards/forums to slow down a bit over the spring/summer months.

I think it has picked up a bit... summer is dying!

The exodus is soon over and all occultists will probably venture back here as the days get shorter and the moon gets brighter!

I am sure of it!
