Interesting piece in The Times today (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/science/article4029449.ece) revealing the strong possibility that Stonehenge (or Côr y Cewri, 'the Giants' Choir' as we call it in Welsh) was a royal cemetary, dating back to 3000 BC.

well that's new!
yet i was under the impression that the astronomical properties of stonehenge were a well documented fact as well.
i suppose there is no reason both things might not be true...

Well it seems the pyramids in Egypt were both royal burial sites AND astronomical instruments. So I think it makes sense!
