This is one of the most promising things to have happened with respect to the whole George Bush epic. No matter what kind of bullshit you tell yourself, this nation will be reeling for many years from the prolific crimes of this one privileged asshole, while everybody else simply let him get away with...literal murder. Ours is only a very serious injury...many others have fared far worse than this.
Bugliosi has pointed the way this ought best to be handled. As he points out so well...impeaching Bush is not only impractical at this point but would leave him a free agent able to continue living the life of privilege he always has. On the flip-side, there is no statute of limitations to the crime of murder (as well as international war crimes). The only critical issue is building an extremely solid case before charging anybody, which he believes he has done in has latest book: The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
If you are unaware of who Vincent Bugliosi is: look here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vincent_Bugliosi) (although it hardly does him justice). He is the most celebrated criminal prosecuting attorney this country has probably ever produced and no fool to the magnitude of the charges he levies against George Bush in his new book.
I really don't know if this could work or not. Ralph Nader believed this book was so damning that the government would never allow it to be published, yet it is already on the New York Times best seller list. The problem with Bush is much like the problem faced with all horrific dictators...the magnitude of the crimes themselves completely bowl most people over, who are thus inclined to let it pass since it seems too impossible to be believed. On the other hand...if things really are that far gone with our government...it's probably too damn late to think anything could ever actually be done about it.
The problem of course if that we are completely stuck with the longterm cost of these kinds of actions and a precedent has been established that will only encourage other thugs with dreams of imperial privilege to seek the highest office in the once-called free world, confident they will not only get away with their crimes but will in fact be handsomely rewarded for them.
So the cycle never ends once we go so far down this path...Bugliosi is calling for the right thing to be done here on behalf of all injured parties... I hope to see other capable prosecutors rally behind him and get this sordid business taken care of properly. Otherwise, I really have to say...I fear for what America has become and is seemingly completely willing to allow to happen.
For the most part I still believe people simply feel powerless in the face of it all and Bush is not an isolated instance afterall but part of a trend that has been going on for some time with politicians in America...particularly since the end of WW2...you know...the war that would end all wars...

Supporters of Bush's crimes typically rely upon the ignorance defense, claiming that while good ole boy George may have been an incompetent buffoon, he did not possess the deliberate criminal mentality others unfairly accuse him of. But the facts do not reflect this and that's what we need to pay attention to throughout this whole thing. He knowingly and repeatedly lied through his teeth to take us into a war that would mainly serve to make himself and his buddies filthy stinking rich and that is exactly what has happened. 9/11 itself is still shrouded in a very serious discrepancy yet to be resolved, since there is very little possibility that the Twin Towers *attack* was not an orchestrated demolition, according to America's own best expert testimonies.
Somewhere down the line there will have to be an accounting of it all and sooner will be much better than later, which really could be too late if we just roll over and let it play itself out unchallenged...
