The last couple of days I've
been experimenting with a hunch...
I've long been intrigued with 3-D images, etc.
(blame that viewmaster I got in 1968 ;))...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viewmaster
And, more recently, other variations on the
3-D theme such as the Magic Eye stuff, etc...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereogram
Oh yeah, the hunch:
What if I suspended a (slowly spinning)
3-dimensional object in front of a blank wall...
And, using two white light sources spaced a few feet apart,
cast two distinct shadows of said object onto said wall...?
Then, while seated under the suspended object
(with the light sources behind me), I observed the two
shadows while doing the standard eye convergence trick...
Could I create the illusion of an animated shadow stereogram...?
Answer: yes...
_______________________
Next, could the effect be enhanced by
using red and blue light sources...?
Yes...
If I wore red/blue '3-D glasses' while employing the
convergence viewing technique, could I cancel out the two
outer images while retaining the central combined image...?
Yes...

Tonight I'm going to videotape the 'animated' shadows
and playback the images on a TV monitor...
I'm assuming that convergence viewing of
the TV image would yield similar results...

Can scrying be done while converging the eyes...?
What would someone adept at scrying see
while viewing these videotaped images...?
