good lord...I just checked pagerank and they have us listed as a PR6 site!!!

that's just not possible, but I cleared cache and checked again and it came up PR6 again!

do you have any idea how hard it is for a site to crack PR4???

PageRank is google's torture machine for website owners...it tracks your link popularity according to some mysterious set of keywords they never let you see...sometimes they use your own meta tags...sometimes not...

A PR6 site is good...really good...most website owners are shooting for a PR5 if they give a damn at all...in my case, I actually don't really care all that much but I do check status occasionally...

the thing is it's so damn hit-and-miss you can't really judge anything by it, although some people would be screaming at me to get a store started right away and start peddling abra-goo or something cuz a PR6 site means you've got people's attention and they might need some abra-goo to go along with their popcorn... :laugh:

even though pagerank.net was reading it as a pr6, I think there must be something wrong with this. I plugged in a firefox pagerank add-on that only reads the forums as a PR3 and the main site as a PR4...this is more to what I think is actually occurring here...

It's no big deal...Democracy Now is only a PR7 site and they get millions of hits from all around the world and are linked every which way a site can possibly be linked.

apparently google isn't quite all that in tune with reality...
