Calling All Emoticons!!!

I'm taking a little breather from some of the more mind-racking projects I have yet to complete around here to beef up our emoticons choices...

So if you have any favorites, now is a good time to let me know and/or this thread is a good place to post them. Also if they have names you are aware of let me know that as well, though this is not as vital as we can call them whatever we want really.

I added a set of monkey emoticons I kind of liked but there's so many choices and we can't really use them all...I'lll probably drop a few of the monkeys even but some of them are great...

I am having a hard time finding any cool demonic emotes though I am sure they are out there someplace...let me know if you know a good source for these please or have some on tap you could toss our way here...

I thought so too...they were too big though and built for white backgrounds so it took some work to trim them down...
I don't know about the rest of you but I'd like to dump the "generic" ones that came with vB itself...just replace them with better ones basically...

thanks Kain...these little suckers were more work than I bargained for since they almost all came anti-aliased for white, so had to be cleaned pixel by pixel...if we weren't using so many gadients and two-tone templates it would have been easier but oh well...once they are cleaned they stay clean, so that's good anyway... I actually still need to rework the triangles...very challenging since white was deliberately worked into their design scheme...you can still see shadows on most of them.

I swapped out the generics for a much better looking set so expect to see a few cosmetic changes where you may have already used any of them. Better to do this now than later...I'll be adding maybe half a dozen more to that set and that should do it for now, save requests as they come in...

It's reall easy to overdo it with these guys since the art has got a LOT better than it used to be and these are all freebies to boot...hard to resist...

thanks Kain...it was more work than I figured it would be actually...had to rebuild them to match our backgrounds etc, a few other modifications...took some time.

thanks Amur. Some of them are a little big I guess but what can you do...I went through the whole thing of reducing them down and felt they looked like crap and I'm pretty good at tweaking images...

so if you want good detail you have to go a little bigger, until they start using micro-pixels or something anyway...

Microcosmus? Perhaps it's about how accurate God-Image one wants to get :tsmile: The smaller the resolution the more percise the work. Though there's so many artists with so many different styles that... hehe..

almost...but not quite...his toungue needs to do that little wiggle thingy snakes do...right now it just looks like he's got hiccups...almost there...

I've copied it down...if I get some time I'll work on it or you can. I think it should be extended out maybe 6-10 frames to get that side-to-side action on the toungue and it's a done deal...
