A superb online oracle. The program runs on an equation that simulates the yarrow stalk method. The commentaries provided are from I Ching: The Dao of Drumming (http://books.google.com/books?printsec=frontcover&id=GI8ne8iqQjwC#v=onepage&q=&f=false). The commentaries are not a direct translation. For some, this may seem like blasphemy akin to reinterpreting the bible or something. I myself have a deep traditionalist streak, so I understand when people are critical of 'messing with something that already works'. I've used the Wilhelm I Ching for years, as well as other translations. But I've been using this site for a few months now, and I highly reccomend it. A friend of mine uses the analogy of an old asain man to describe the I Ching. He'll give you good advice, but he's very conservative. The Dao of Drumming commentaries on the other hand seem more up to date. A reinvigoration....

The Dao of Drumming also experiments with using rhythm to express and experience the hexagrams on a very visceral level. I haven't actually delved into this practice yet, but plan to experiment along thse lines in the future.

Someone told me the yarrow stalk method can be manipulated easily.

I don't use the online oracle anymore I found it lacking, I only use the 3 10-sided dice method now.

The descriptions are conservative but the hexagrams themselves are not. There is a difference. Another thing to point out is the images are much older and usually give advice that is extremely real. I don't listen to Confucius he was a product of his time and humanity at a level that is useless for me - I want to be in grounded in another region of space.

I just went to a shop to get some 10-sided die actually, they're closed on sundays...

I've never liked online oracles either. With this one I always do the twin star before I engage it and I've been very satisfied with the results.

That is why I hate Sundays.

The twinstar has a very friendly relationship to machines so i am not surprised you have results using it.

The dice allows reality to communicate more effectively using its own voice by means of numbers, so also look into the gematria of the throws if you get into it, sometimes it can be interesting.
