Filius Fortunae

I was at a half-price bookstore the other day and in a fit of sado-masochism decided to peruse the metaphysical miscellany section. Naturally, 90% of the books were either new-age garbledygook or lellwyn bullshit which I was careful to avoid, however, there was a singular tome which caught my attention. It was a weighty looking hardcover entitled, "The Dwelling of the Philosophers", with a cute little golden dragon emblazoned upon the front. To make matters more interesting, the author was a mister Fulcanelli, and, according to the subtitle, a purported master alchemist. A quick scan of the text revealed the matters contained therein to be both esoteric and unusual. It was priced at fifty dollars which was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a single book but I kept the title in mind for researching on the internets upon a later date.
My opinion upon researching the title was mixed. On one hand, the oracle (google) informs me that this price is quite a steal. On the other hand, the oracle was unable to divulge much useful information regarding the contents of said book. This is most unfortunate, for, as we all know, price does not necessarily corellate to usefulness. Thus I ask of thee, o wise denizens of the world wide webs, is this a worthy purchase? Or should I save my fifty dollars and use it on sex, drugs and rock'n'roll? (all of which can be found on campus for considerably less money)
