Just thought I'd start a general thread on the ole mid-terms.

so far, as per 11:30 est, the dems have retaken the house (+18) and signs point to a very possible (+30).

3 pick ups in the senate with 4 toss ups remaining.

the shrub from texas has set a speech for 11 am est tommorow. think he's going to declare himself czar:mad::devil::angry:

webb has gone ahead for the first time by around 3k voters...and only remaining preceints to report are from traditionally very deocratic areas.

Now Rummy's out...

And Cheney's being dissed...

Is Bush drifting with the current...?

Who woulda thought that a system
of checks and balances could allow
for a potentially functional democracy...?

Today I went to the Santa Clause parade (or rather happened upon it), and was amused to see how 'out in force' the Shriners were... Amongs other things, there was some guy dressed up as a gigantic velvety Fez. It made me chuckle. I figured since they are all masons there was a connection to the us Presidency... exatly how many have NOT been masons?
