View Full Version : Controlling Your Astral Body

I recently experienced a total lack of control over my astral body during projection.

Apparently, I was too focused on drawing energy via my feet. I was so absorbed in the process, and so absorbed in my goal of APing, that I entered trance and began projecting prematurely only to find myself spinning around the room as if David had gripped me by the ankles in an attempt to defeat Goliath. I continued to orbit a central point that largely resembled my feet (through which I was previously attempting to draw energy for the purpose of APing).

Overall, the AP experiment was successful simply because I APed. But, I relinquished control via an intense focus on my feet.

From this, I gather that astral bodies are contingent upon processes of accumulating energy.

This leads me to conclude that if I had gathered energy via my solar plexus as opposed to my feet, I would have exited with respect to a more centralized gravity, resulting in greater control over my astral body.

:)Hey Logos, good to see you , Have not ever tried astral projection or remote viewing but always find it interesting to hear of the practice. Your disorientation sounds logical given your focus. The eternal Being does not, in the same way leave the body for the last time(upon death) from any one "determined point" of the body. AV.

Thats actually how my obe's started when I was 22. I havent got a clue why the twisting and spinning happenen to me but it did stop after a few very weird months.

I'm pretty sure it's because of my spontaneous decision to switch the focus of my exit from my third eye to my feet. I find it very interesting, though, that the rest of my body separated, but remained attached at the feet, around which I couldn't stop spinning.

I'm curious what would happen if I tried my hands, instead.

I generally only focus on my 3rd eye or solar plexus for AP. focusing on my brow chakra results in a more consciousness-focused sense of place/space/self/etc. While focusing on the solar plexus results in a more energy-flow-focused sense of things (typically involving huge arcing & swirling tendrils of inbound energy).

I think your impressions about what was occurring during your AP attempt, sound pretty well thought out and pretty likely :)
