Greetings All
My name is Talkingfox and new to the forum. I have, like m1thr0s , worn a lot of hats over the years. I'm just coming out of a very long sabbatical back into more public work.
Some would say my approach to metaphysics verges on prosaic as I tend to focus on practical applications. My passions are plants and perfumes ( my husband calls me the herb geek) applied art, music, weights as a form of yoga and making stuff. what kind of stuff? ALL kinds of stuff :p Looking forward to the sharing of info on this board!

Let me be the first to welcome you to the forums. It is a great pleasure to see you here, and I know you will brew wisdom as well as you do your teas.
And it's ok if your metaphysics verge on the edge of Prozac, you're in good company. :o_O:
Warmest regards,
Dragon

Actually that name was gifted to me many years ago as a name for my art studio.
It stuck personally as well as professionally and was a foreshadowing of my subsequent adventures magickally. I find it interesting as I'm now living in a place where I find wild foxes in my garbage cans at least once a month....

It's nice to meet you talkingfox - I'm another herbalist from the frozen north - west quebec where all it does is rain this year, so not as chilly as Alaska, but getting there - sounds like we have a few things in common? I'd love to join all of you for something mildly caffeinated, or stronger?
Welcome to the forums....:)

Ahhhhh razorblades don't scare me....now ALGEBRA that scares me!
This is a really amazing forum! I think it's wonderful that so many people of so many paths and magickal languages have found a place to compare and contrast expressions of what IS. Thanks to you and the other moderators for making it possible.
I did say I'd be active once I unsequestered myself!

Thank you Feranaja.
And yes, after reading some of your posts I suspect we DO have a fair bit in common! I would LOVE to compare notes on the nutrition/brain function/magickal function with you!

Yowza - really? I thought I was a solitary nerd in this regard.
ANytime you want to chat, or start a thread to that effect, I'm there!
And to the skeptical in our midst - YOU try a potent invocation when your serotonin is at an all time low - who'd have thought a piece of whole grain toast could make the difference between a magickal success and a series of disappointments?
I'm actually giving a seminar to a group of local behaviourists regarding nutrition and behaviour, in the canine, which is my field of expertise, but you'd be amazed at how many parallels to humans there are, biochemically. And although dogs dont do magic (well not overtly, but my take on that is perhaps too esoteric even for this forum?) I think its astonishing and wonderful when someone's cherished pet dog is saved from euthansasia by adjusting, say, their amino acid intake and watching their "aggression" dissipate. Think of the human appliations! I can never understand why nutrition is so ignored by most people, beyond watching fat intake (which fats? some are actually great for us) and taking the odd multivitamin.
lol..you got me going, TF...
let's start a thread...
