Try to relate different feelings with different tastes. When you've come up with what your own emotions are regarding the tastes try to resonate happenings from your own life by eating things that resonate with those inner feelings. This can be used to bring forth suppressed emotions which is re-experienced in a form of taste to get it processed in the consciousness.

Noticed that my life is bitter to the extreme and a form of healing is to balance this with eating extremely bitter things. The point with this is to be able to accept that life isn't always that nice and that it includes other tastes than sweet and so on.

This, to my knowledge, is an Ayurvedic concept which has fascinated me for some time. It seems to be getting popularized by none other than Deepak Chopra, but it's worthwhile all the same. I think I want this book for Christmas:

I've alwasy thought latte (or cafe au lait) is an unusual creation; half of it wakes you up, the other half puts you to sleep, lol. The milk modified the coffee's inclination toward bitterness and sweetens it subtly, without the obvious headrush of sucrose.

One question Amur; if your life is bitter, wouldnt sweets be the obvious taste remedy?

I think from what I can tell of Amur's thinking, eating sweets while life is bitter would just increase a desire for the sweetness of life. Am I right?

Seems like what Amur is doing is using his food intake to grow more accustomed to what life is throwing at him. Kind of like eating bitter things to get used to the bitterness of daily life?

Personally, when I eat I seem to go for more what Fera was talking about. Filling foods when life is empty, sweets when things are soured, that sort of thing. Needless to say, my diet is far from healthy. ;)
