Great pics everyone, aodh Ive never seen yours, quite cool: Id hire you as a bodyguard from the spot, you look friendly but still seem to have "punch". :))
My all time favs are of course Naomi and fera- both look amazing! Naomi would also look very good in a conservative navy blue business dress or the classical chanel outfit ("la petite robe noire"), so if you reinvent yourself next time- Id certainly like to see that. ;)
Never had anyone tell me they'd hire me as a body guard before, but then, I HAVE been working out lately and I am quite the prick. ;-)

K I'd love to be your fashion experiment, I think that would be hilarious. I actually have a few very conservative photos lying around here somewhere....you'd get a kick out of them I think, I'll try to find them later, after I take a cat nap.
You look great Aodh, you could star in 300 :D

Well, I better keep up the work then!
I still have only a vague impression of pectoral muscles but the abs and arms and legs and ass are allc oming in great, so, we'll see.

K, how would you see me if we had the budget to play with? I'm sort of a split personality, fashion wise; I love DKNY, Jil Sander and Calvin - clean lines simple and wearable stuff. But I have this side that would love to really do haute couture - especially Galliano and Badgley/Mischka. I appreciate fashion as both fantasy and art form, but admittedly I am NOT experimental. I know what works for me and thats pretty much what I stick with. It's simply that couture wouldnt quite fit with my real life, consisting mainly of making herbal remedies, huge batches of dog food, hiking in the hills with the pack, and working at the computer all day.
Still, a girl can dream.
Naomi Chan, as beautiful as that picture is, I agree it's not you, just too conventional. The angelic one has a purity to it, I THINK you are wearing a hooded robe? There's just a simplicity to it, a loveliness - but no it wasn't the modelling one.
My secret fantasy is to have all the clothes that Vivien le fay Morgan wears in the Sea Priestess made for me, and swan around wearing them AND the star sapphires.
Now all I need is a Wilfred...and a Secret Chief or two...

Yes f, just looked at your photo again. I think that- be it haute couture or pret a porter- you have that French look, a bit refined and abit extravacant, and also cool for you would be the Asian designers, there are so many check it out! http://nymag.com/fashion/fashionshows/designers/
for your other more forbidden side you could go (if you had the cash) for smaller local companies especially North Italian and more limited French designs that you should discover "in situ", so youd travel there for some shopping....what doesnt fit you is the English/"aristocrtic" style, its too small minded for you, so for your outdoor stuff with dogs you could go for the normal timberland aquascutum etc look like that. (and for older age youre more a Grande Dame, Deneuve or like Meryl Streep from that Prada-movie (I had her as avatar), instead of some grey ascot bore with an idiotic hat...:P
I myself am quite poor right now and have other priorities but if I had the money I would go for English fabrics designed by small Northern Italian manufacturers, they have the best cut/line, shoes from Italy or Vienna, I like the elegant style but with British touch...the big companies that are favoured by many rap musician ;) are not to my taste, but all this is speculation anyway...but maybe we can do that lil shopping trip in the future...
Thanks dear, as always, it means something coming from a beauty such as yourself. :D
I found this designer (http://nymag.com/fashion/fashionshows/2006/fall/main/newyork/womenrunway/anaitbian/) in a quick skim and while some of it seems a little excessive, I really liked someof the concepts and looks for you.

Iceland is actually green. It's Greenland that's icy... go figure... these shots were taken from Signal Hill (overlooking Downtown St John's). It's not THAT unusual. Even when I was a kid, coming here, there'd sometimes be great big icebergs off the coast, but since I moved here there weren't any till this past summer. Once cool thing is that sometimes these Icebergs carry their own microclimate with them: they produce huge banks of fog the come rolling in to cover the city. I have a video of one that's actually steaming, out there in the water (Actually the two big ones in that last pic...) They're really dangerous too. They will occasionally flip over with almost no warning... They also have big fucking machines that harvest the icebergs and then they (The people who own the machines, presumaby) make them into vodka.... wierd.

One of the things I appreciate the most about
forming alliances online is that physical
appearances (not to mention any quirky
personal tics, smells, sounds, etc. :p)
can remain completely irrelevant...
Historically many of the individuals with the most
knowledge and experience often had problems
with presenting this information effectively...
(Is he a wizened sage, or just a crazy old coot?)
Or they were dismissed (or dispatched)
merely for being a woman...
(She's a witch!)
Now we can all collaborate and share (and document)
our ideas and sounds and images from any point
on earth, at any time of day (and it's affordable)...
Regardless of how attractive or repellent we are IRL...
Naomi
03-28-2008, 10:07 PM
the initial appeal of internet, was the masking factor - people could talk to me first, and then learn I was a female and only 16. It's amazing to me how many people treated me wrong after finding out my age. I had people talking to me on the AOL chatroom in 1995 about really deep subjects calling me wise and incredibly knowledgeable and practically asking me to come meet up when suddenly they became shocked when I told them how old I was and they seemed embarassed or something.
I wouldn't be much of a tantric adept if I differentiated between the five senses. It has taken me a long time to get where I am and what is left is mere play....the resurgence of vanity is my only concern, it is impossible to eliminate completely the five senses when exposed to the material realm, but constant vigilance is a significantly powerful solution.
Otherwise I don't get any of this internet seclusion thing. To me the internet is a tool to meet people, not a place to form a soiree. I get on this thing as little as possible. There was an episode of Seagate DSV that was absolutely stupid, but it portrayed a futuristic world where no one knows each other except through computer screens. The idea is repulsive and the karasu tengu agree with me that life through veils is no life. I had extensive discussions with them about this. Furthermore, when you start shrinking from the underbelly of life you will begin to succumb to it....yama's gifts....must be given back to yama.
Anyways no, I don't agree with you MythMath but I do see where it appeals to some people. I will always be more partial to flesh and dirt and divine intercourse happening at every instance of atomic particle in the universe from mud to my fucking lipstick...
The grotesque mind of humans is as easily exposed here as it is to my lynxine eyes face to face....you are always naked to the ones who see past all obstacles.

I'm not implying that one should only
work with virtual collaborators to the
exclusion of actual ones...
I actually don't care what my associates
look like (but I would have a problem if they
wore bad/too much scent or hummed all the time)...
But for those who feel they are inadequately judged
and rated by their appearance or gender/race/age or
even geographic location, the internet can be an
amazing way to create and discover together...
Historically, these individuals would often wither
on the vine, and they would give up or otherwise
fail to develop and share their knowledge...

Some individuals find it difficult to feel
confident and comfortable enough
to seek out people to interact with...
Let alone, offer up their own ideas to be critiqued...
Can you imagine having all your great ideas and
feelings and images and not have enough courage
to show them or express them to anyone else...?
People require creative interaction,
and some get next to none...
Any alternative is better than none...
Naomi

Yes, painful shyness? It is one of the most grieviously damaging setbacks a human can face, I think. I don't know if the internet is a solution to that so much, but maybe. Kindness in general seems to be the right bandage for that....just kindness, it's not that hard to give.
Of course coming from me that probably sounds fake, yet it's not without scrutiny that I suggest anyone hand out kindness and compassion, there has to be some kind of barrier for quality assurance. Well Satanism, again....

I use my picture as my avatar and wish everyone else did too. I dont like the way people can hide on the internet. Not just that I wish I could see where people lived, their cars, their jobs and everything else about them when I am talking to them like equals. In the real world you can tell the people you want to take advice from by looking at their lives. I know this sounds very arrogant and judgemental but when someone seems to be hiding they usually are and that doesn't inspire trust.

I used to use my pic as an avatar sometimes though most people know what I look like so it doesn't seem important now and I am quite shy - I also wouldn't take any advice from me either, at least not as far as magick or the occult is concerned, my understanding and ability to get that across lies in other areas.

Yes this is true. Unfortunately there are no saddhus around so even though I know you all own too many belongings and live the life of men caught up in sense gratification I will have to make due with books and what one gleans through the path of knowledge.
I too, am enslaved by sense gratification but somehow this will have to change eventually given time. First, is the matter of giving up family and livelihood and then material belongings, which I have already done (sorta) One has to remain in equilibrium if they are going to accomplish both liberation and BHAKTI, because certain movements require diving back into the sea of Samsara, where the ickle fishies live...

I disagree... the sexless, ageless and raceless qualities of an internet personality is what makes it so great. The only thing really visible are the ideas of a person... this leads to less bias.
I think this is an advantage for blacks, women, gays etc... here the physical doesn't interfere with the mental - unless one wants it to.

I couldnt agree more! :)
The internet dissociates us from the sensory prejudices we usually experience in real life meetings. Sure, most of us here isnt that prejudical? (damn school, never learned me english well enough :P) at all anyway. But speaking generally.
Most of the, non-intiates, in the, um, ancient mysteries?, er.. do tend to be a whole lot more prejudical? (damnit to hell, again) then, people who are.. eh? Enlightened? hahaha
Damn english, now Im all confused? what was I saying again?
Oh yeah, I agree...
Anyways, Speaking of "Doves". I have 2 new neighbours right above my bedroom window. Theyre so lovely, keeping me company all day long :) Yesterday one of em watched the sunset with me, it was totally awsome!! :D

I agree that physical invisibility on the internet is a good thing. We reveal true substance and content by expressing our ideas, but I think it's fine to show our physical selves later, after we are fairly well-known. Sometimes it's a lesson when what we see isn't what we would have expected. It's a way to measure our own expectations and how we come up with them.

They had a really good article in the latest number of a swedish magazine (Illustrated Science), anyway, they had established that the same parts in the brain that handles memories also handles how we are able to imagine our future.
Sure, for an occultist who does nothing but continually thinks about what lies beneath and how the weels actually spin, this doesnt come as any real news.
Not for me anyway, you are everything that you have experienced, and you imagine yourself in your future by what 'measures' or 'guidelines' you have previously experienced. Wether real or imaginary or whatever, memories form us..
Oh man there is some lucky bastard flying out there in the sunset! with one of those planes that glides without the engines off! I see it spin around right from my balcony-door-window. lol me and my english. sry
Btw, there is more pictures in my zoints private album, privileged for abrahadabra forum ppl..

that's my squid on a beach asana
you take a shower and fall asleep like a beached squid, and because of the smell the cats sit on you
when he was a kitten he used to sleep in my hair or under my chin and he still tries too

well, Greg was taking the picture, usually it's just me because I don't like other people taking pictures of me, however, i forgave him the camera ambush this time since it is a cute picture, fucked up hair or not
he used to be very mean to ninja when he was a kitten and ever since then, ninja (the cat) has always gotten into fights, i had to sell all of my jewelry over the years just to pay for the surgery he needed to repair infections and what not
after I get rid of this house im going to buy myself a laboratory created diamond ring and forget about the lost heirlooms forever

i like cats they dont ever judge you based on what you look like, they just love and love and love and love and you can just be yourself around them, i want to be like that
plus they can never betray you - it's risk free, just feed them and they stick around
we were doing the thoth count remember and there was that one time where I was on some day I forget which but I knelt down in front of the rattlesnake cage and he came up to me, and I was in complete bliss - we were going on about material belongings, ningishzidda and I
well you can buy my looks (http://seehere.blogspot.com/2006/08/celebrities-without-makeup.html) but you can't buy love, but cats and dogs they give away lots of it with very little effort. love is completely unselfish.
that is a really big lesson nature is throwing at us everyday in the world but I wonder if humans are even paying attention, because mentioning LOVE is like dropping the conversational bomb of the century....yet we can talk about nuclear physics and Satanism all day long...
this has nothing to do with this forum by the way, I am really just getting tired of the charades on some other forum I belong too that takes care of my Satanic needs. so yeah, cats are cool

of course if you don't feed them, they'll just eat you!
nature's interpretation of *tough love* perhaps...seems fair enough to me somehow.

Sure. I don't believe in tough love though, nor enabling...love is hard enough without attaching bullshit disciplinary shit to it....
Love is love, discipline is discipline....but that's another story, and really, animals arn't very good partners - probably most excellent parents though, Romulus and Remus were the founders of fucking Rome....

Naomi

that's very good Luciferic, you can do a lot of things with stir fry, I myself am only really good with Pan Asian and Italian cuisine
the main ingredients in chinese are
corn starch
rice cooking wine
rice vinegar
soy sauce
garlic
honey
fruit
chicken stock (because many chinese are buddhist vegetarian substitutes are easy to find)
if you know the cornerstones of the cuisine you can build around it and invent new recipes
