I've used melatonin supplement before sleeping, not usually at consecutive nights, but random seperate nights and when I do I usually have dreams that involve magick. And practical stuff too. From flying to shooting lightning bolts, telekinesis, visible energy explosions etc. you name it. And I have dreams more lucid than other times which I guess can be called an expected effect of melatonin. But I wonder why it brings forth magick related dreams in me. What's your take on it?

Melatonin is created by the pineal gland, which is part of your body's endocrine system.
The endocrine system is a physical representation of your body's energy system. (More or less.)
The pineal gland is commonly thought to represent your third eye chakra.
As above, so below; vice versa. Et cetera.

Occasionally increase in depression, dullness. Generally after continiued use.

Dose has to be kept in mind though.
In most studies done so far a DECREASE in depression has been noticed as opposed to increase. *shrugs*
How much do you take when you take it?

3mg tops or less.
You might also like to try L-tryptophan supplement or 5-HT(serotonin). As melatonin is a metabolite of serotonine, higher serotonin levels yields higher melatonin or something :)

I have a number of concerns about 5HTP:

Remember, natural doesn't = better. Bubonic plague is perfectly natural. SO is aflatoxin. Both will kill you.
You want more L-tryptophan? Eat turkey sandwiches and drink a lot of milk.
