Its the time of year to let loose and party but at the same time appreciate one's achievements.
Beyond all christmas hype, its also a time to give to yourself and not just to others. Every day is a transition for me, but at certain events of a collective nature like christmas and newyear, where everyone celebrates, I tend to just go with the flow.

I always get into the whole Christmas thing, I just see it as a time to celebrate the people in my life, by getting together, exchanging gifts and above all, eating and drinking too much. I like the celebratory aspects of it a lot, the special feeling, the lights decorations and the joy of giving things that people will cherish..even if it's just an "IOU one Tarot reading" tucked into a handmade card...or a jar of home made apple butter.

I didnt do much of anything this year because it's been a sad time here since the fall ..but I'm feeling better daily and decided last minute to at least do a turkey etc, and I mailed cards although rather late. I know there is a lot of pressure to spend but I prefer to see it as a reminder to be giving - and to celebrate what we have - plus I just love the beauty of it. As an occultist I see it as a ritual of Tiphareth, and focus on the parallels with the solstice...

so a very Happy Weekend to all my friends here - however you celebrate I hope it's a good one and that 2007 brings much happiness, good health and achievement in your life. I would love to have you all drop by for an unforgettable New Year's bash - well, maybe next year?

My dragon and I are very excited about Christmas this year and I let him put the tree up.
