Not sure where this post goes but I'm sure someone will figure it out. Yes, I am working on my first shrine and I am using acrylic paint which I kind of like. Yes, I'm getting back into painting as well.
I'll post more later only if anyone's interested.

oooo...I like it...you need a hanging or something against that awful wall but the alter itself is smokin'
even just a black bedsheet would be a vast improvement... I've seen a few Batiks that would knock your eye's out though...

thanks, and the backset is being worked on. As for the beads, they're mine, not hers, I use them for if I do a mantra. they're hanging there so I can see it to remember where they are instead of loosethem but thank you kindly.

Looks beautiful.
I once had a shrine to Freyja years ago that started small and then somehow took over my entire room - walls painted red and gold, lots of feline energy, runes, and the pale goddess herself greeting anyone who came through the door.
Thanks for sharing Nix with us.

no problem but it's a work in progress. In truth, I could never show the finished product for 1. it is never complete and 2. i don't fully reveal anything of mine esoteric.

Ok This sweet and it is a mastery. it is sure to get you the attention you need to get what you want. Not really sure who its for, but whoever its for, it has alot of energy.. Lately, I do the same thing, I will gather objects and pictures, and even create my own artistic tribute to the particular entity that Im working with. Its not really for worship, It becomes a link and makes a good focus to connect with the entity. It is an act of appreciation, and it gains you pretty good favor; these beings can be quite vain!!

Oh Really?! Well, thank you very much then. I really do appreciate it since I haven't done work like this in years and it's not easy to do. So yes, thank you.

This is actually really awesome. I remember seeing this done before. Like, with old statues of the Virgin Mary redone as some sort of White Buffalo Calf woman on the rez.
Sort of like blasphemy and progressive spirituality.
I'm not surprised you like Nix though, do you also feel a connection to the planet Pluto?

Hi N, First off, I wasn't blasphemizing anything. Well...that was not my intention. To be truthful, I wanted to do a statue of Baphomet with obvious parts that I won't bother to go into but I decided to do one of Nix to give homage to nocturnal existence and all of that jazz.
And no I do not feel any specific connection to any planet in particular but I like many people are effected when planets go retrograde.
Thanks.
On a side note, since I'm to be moving, I do not have any interest in taking it with me because I like to travel light and may get rid of many unecessary things so I might try to sell it on e-bay or something. I don't know but I HATE clutter and yes, it's not out right now. But thank you again.
And on that note artisticly speaking, I checked out your deviant art page and I really liked the kissing elves. What struck me was the textures you used in painting. Whether it was done digitally or by hand, I liked it because it really gave it depth.

The kissing elves are hot. For all kinds of personal reasons. Blasphemy is cool, though.
