So...?? what's everyone doing tonight - staying home with family/friends, going out to party or ignoring the New Year completely??

I'm just planning to cook dinner for a friend and share some wine, nothing fancy...whatever you're up to be safe and have fun...

:sunny:

Happily, I am alone, I will ritual or something like that and continue, yes, continue drinking and reflect on the past year.

Last year, I remembered my loved one and cried a lot; this year, I look forward and am in a different place, I will ritual and put energy into something I value.

Happy New Year people...

I completely forgot tonight was even New Year's Eve.

Wow... that means tomorrow is my birthday. Nice.

I need to get out more.

I have no idea how I'll spend New Years Eve. I just hope someone drunk dials me at 2 in the morning. That always makes me happy. ^_^

It blows, but I'll probably be staying in tonight. She has to work, and I'm sick of getting hit on by ugly chicks at the bars. I don't know, maybe I'll go out.

With my wife and 3 'littles' (ages 4, 6, 8)
and twin grandaughters (age 7)...

They've all been staying up pretty late,
lately; on winter school break and all...

So I'm pretty sure they'll hit midnight, making
this their first 'NewYear'sEve' (awake)...

Maybe we'll have a beatles CD marathon...;)

I hear that. People think my dogs are...well, dogs... I mean...I can see the feathers wings and haloes, whats wrong with some folks? And I bet you get called eccentric too, huh?

Well they don't know what they're missing.

fera (wishing T would really come visit someday we could dress up the dogs and take them and the dragon to tea)

Huh, dress the dogs? now I have heard everything, they have places where you can get dog things like clothes etc. I mean, well, I don't want to be rude, but I mean, isn't that a little over the top, I mean, I once wrapped my dragon in a jumper when the builders were in to stop him getting dusty, but he comes in his own skin normally.

Tea sounds great though :D

Tisha - it gets COOOLD over here! Wnter clothes are an absolute necessity especially for short haired dogs like Ridgebacks! He has a completely hairless tummy at 5 months too! It's not over the top, its being a good Mom. :)

Here they are in the field 2 days ago; we have much more snow as of this morniing...

Ah Fera, I misunderstood, I thought you were talking about pretty pink frilly adornments. God forbid.

I didn't know these dogs had bare tummies, how interesting.

He'll get a bit more hair cover in time but they will always have fine hair and nearly bare undersides. In deep snow, I put a thick T-shirt on under the coat and fasten it with a velcro strip, to ensure the tummy is covered a bit extra.

People really do go nuts dressing up dogs, my colleagues and I often compare notes on which breed has the craziest humans. (I think it's Pugs; New York City's notorious 'Pug Crawl" will bring out thousands of people with pugs dressed up in all sorts of silliness.) But its a pretty innocuous pastime really. I admit, I like to put pretty stuff on Lila, she's just very girly and she likes it! A dose of silliness never hurt anyone, methinks?

I know people who dres up cats too - lol now THATS goofy...

No dog dressing up tonight though! I'm just about to open something cold and grape-y... and they dont get any!! cheers! Is it midnight there yet?

Update:

My plan to make about $600 serving drinks to locals, students, tourists, and Saints fans was executed most successfully. I walked away with $645 when we closed the bar at 6am this morning.

Amazing start, and even more amazing because at 9pm tonight (it's 7:30 right now, Jan. 1st) I'm going to begin learning meditation from another person for the first time in my life. No more relying 100% on books, wondering if I'm doing it right.

I'm leaping into 2007 by changing the course of my relationship with alchemy.
