The Tavern Outside Time

[Ci Celli Ddu]

Ive always fancied the idea of creating a safe place where people can go, whether dreaming, visualising, or astrally, and meet people and other entities for whatever reason. Thus, with more or less the Inn from Neil Gaiman's World's End (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sandman:_Worlds'_End) in mind, here is the Tavern Outside of Time. Add your own notes and images, if you want to participate in its creation, and (if you want) arrange meets here, or relate what happened when you visited.

Notes: 1.Although cosy inside,and fixed as to its exterior size, there are no limits to its interior dimensions (ie the number of rooms)
2. Outside it is always a foggy night, but the door opens onto wherever the individual wishes to go

Hey, its just an idea. By the way, for meet ups it would also be good to present what image you're going to project. Or a symbol you can be identified by during your visit. Of course, for pre-arranged meetings you'd also have to decide what surroundings to agree upon.

I never really used to enjoy baths all that much until I started bathing at the Tavern Bathhouse...Hylas & Nymphs can really change your whole attitude towards water...no soap required.

Yeah? Any interesting results?Well, it was quite "stable" and I used it as an intermediate chamber for full astral projection. Also worked as an evocation chamber and it was mostly reminiscent of a medieval throne room. Yes...it did take a bit of looking around. All I could find was harems and I dont do that scene anymore, although it brought back some wonderful memories.

Not far from the Bathhouse is the Washhouse, where you can take any dirty laundry, should the normal staff forget to do so. One of the wonders of the Tavern and source of much speculation amongsts the guests is how a single maid manages to do all the washing without ever resting. It is rumoured that a foolhardy guest once asked her this very question, and that to this day one can still find his teeth scattered around the vicinity of the Washhouse...

Tis a strange place, where every turn the architecture seems to change, and in certain places is altogether uncanny, as if to suit some of the more bizaarly attired guests, who never seem to venture far fom their rooms, and have what can only be descibed as the most garish of possessions. Quite interesting. Apart from being a source of entertainment the tavern is supposed to be a place you can actually visit. Although I havent visited it in any lucid form yet, it is already proving to be remarkably simular to lucid dreams that Ive had set in an indoor scenario, and Im sure that I'll equate any future indoor lucid dreams with The Tavern. In a way that was the point, although the chief point or goal is to succeed in meeting other "Special Guests" (that's you guys) while I'm there.

Made-up entities for personal use may not be exempt, (but then who cares if they're not central to this creation). My own guard dog-wolf ("Nena") is a real life personage, -sadly no longer with us- but the loyalty of canines goes beyond the grave (perhaps for this reason they are counted as intermediaries with the Otherworld in Celtic mythology). The fact that she has existed makes her invulnerable. But that's a whole other kettle of fish. Okay Ive been drinking (havent had any alcohol since Halloween! It has taken me an hour to write this. Blah blah blah).

Quite interesting. Apart from being a source of entertainment the tavern is supposed to be a place you can actually visit. Although I havent visited it in any lucid form yet, it is already proving to be remarkably simular to lucid dreams that Ive had set in an indoor scenario, and Im sure that I'll equate any future indoor lucid dreams with The Tavern. In a way that was the point, although the chief point or goal is to succeed in meeting other "Special Guests" (that's you guys) while I'm there.

Had a nice chat with Zeus, and ran into Odin, surprisingly, at the Inn today. That was cool. And some angel started attacking people in a kind of SnM dungeon place, that was funny. I love how the place just keeps evolving, the more you use it. It's great.
ALso, don't be surprised to see Freddy and Jason drinking in the reception area, or in the bar, and don't be surprised if Freddy visits you in your room, or if you catch him hitting on the washgirl, or on the sabbat lord/chick goat Baphomet babysitter thing. :laugh:

Also, met some fake people, and some demons today. That place is fun, and the fact of so many different things coexisting there, mostly peaceably is cool.
