View Full Version : Found You!

I was wondering where everyone at OF had gotten off to. Know I know. Just in time, too, cause that place ain't the same without the stars. Verily hath Abrahadabra stolen the firmament of Nuit from above OF's head. And I'm glad to have found it.

Anyway, hello. I'm Hairetikos. I've been an occultist for nigh on a decade now. I've recently been getting deep into Thelema and studying all things Crowleyan. I also joined B.O.T.A. last year, so I'm enjoying the instruction which I'm receiving from that school. A very general summation of my brand of occultism is that I am a somewhat eclectic student of the Western Mysteries. Well, it's nice to see familiar faces again. There's many that I missed and thought were simply gone, but it's wonderful to find that you're still around.

maybe now it can finally be said...Eric never gave a shit about occult philosophy. He was only ever in it for the ego-gratification...

it was fun while it lasted though...and look...it's still going on!!!

hehe...

glad you found us Hairetikos!

I have to admit, m1thr0s, it is neat you having your own forum. I always respected your words on OF, so it's pretty cool seeing you grow into something larger.

What took you so long...?

I guess I fell off the map for a while. No matter, I'm in the eternal present now.

Thanks for the warm reception, guys. Be talking to you.

One point doesn't make sense though: why would he attract all the world's most powerful magickians and esoteric workers to his site? OK, it's original natal chart wa sone for success in global war, it's why they needed a hack there, couldn't handle such a chart safely. But Eric did say, when I PMed him some demanding moderator status and teasing the occult ability some, that 'those who created this forum didn't fall off a melon cart you know'. So I spen some time looking at his workings. It's basiclaly a Bael gate, and very, very well crafted. Not sure if he ever fully understood this, but I think so. He's just being aloof, as one traditionally is when one wants to occupy 'Top of Pyramid'. And he's taking the 'Keep Silent' adage rather strongly.

But yes, his ego did need some cuts, agreed. You can't just take a Bael gate and expect to get the results when you don't live the karmic track record. And also, strongly yes, I disagreed, and continue to do so, with his moderation policies of, effectively, an enshrined nobility. Plus some of his rules were silly. But the guy had balls in some respects, must be said, and was laissez-faire enough to allow some stuff that other serious (as opposed to just spamming) forums would have just deleted straight away...

So, as Hairetikos said, it is 'the stars' of the community that give it magnetism and drive. With all of them hanging out here pretty much, tis not the OF it once was. Maybe, in due time, an arrangement will be reached.

Meanwhile, welcome Hairetikos! your name being Greek-ish, I looked upsome of your posts on one of the older versions of OF. Good to have you hear.

alll the best,
Oazaki.

A slight exageration there, OC. Most have never even heard of OF, a lot don't surf the web, and there's a whole load who don't speak English.

Once it became apparent that he couldn't be bothered to pull his head out of his ass long enough to do his job it was time to move on. He still thinks he's lord of the whole damn universe though...it's pretty funny actually...Lord Indra I always call him...little Lord Indra...a joke he'll never get cuz he doesn't know shit about occultism...

oh well...you can lead an ars to water...

it was a trial run. it served its purpose. mobility, adaptability, we all know the drill...

No I agree with OC, it was a nexus for the world's most powerful magicians...it's just most didn't linger long, they just signed up, left, and/or got banned by some of the more infernal moderators. I spoke with some of them in e-mails after they were banned or left and they were some of the most amazing people I have ever met online.

As for Eric....Lord Indra...LOL....hmm that didn't click with me until I realized from what perspective you were referencing from.

His inaction was indeed, frustrating. And he put a turnip in charge, that was the biggest mistake. Twas too proud, stuck in the past (king mindset in modern world) not willing to let his hair down and I'm willing to forgive it. Maybe something went wrong with his upbringing.

But "be silent", OC? Did he miss the memo or something?

Couldn't have been that much of a nexus if I've never been there. Now Abrahadabra on the other hand...

Ah, well, you see, the welsh connection was being dominated by Nafanua's current incarnation for a long time... Anyone remember Arwen?

As for Eric, yeah, he was King Solomon in a previous incarnation. It's why we all wanted his Bael gate: he made the best one. So most of us went there to steal it. As soon as anybody got close they'd usually be banned... followed quite a predictable pattern. The few exceptions were those who'd locked things too powerfully to be banned... Don't know how much of this he was actually aware of hmself though...

Naomi: I don't think the memo applied to anybody apart from us and those consciously aligned with us. That way, the rest of them were all forced to shut-up and stay discreet, and so not be able to modify the public mind / public information set. Another one of our cheats...

Sorry for the thread hijack Hairetikos. Where you from btw?

yeah...let's get off this horse folks...this is a welcome thread for cripe's sake...my fault more than anybody else's...I know...

Lord Indra was the King of the Gods in Hinduism who was always running around reminding everybody who he was and how important he was, since if he didn't keep reminding them all the time they never would have known, he being such a completely unimpressive god otherwise...About the only magnanimous thing he ever really did was lose the war against the Rakshasa King Ravana and his army when they stormed the gates of heaven and completely trashed it. Sound familiar?

Nafanua? The Samoans come here to play rugby, not meddle with our magic, which as ever is subject to Annwn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annwn). Arwen? Elven princess from LOTR, never been to the land of the Red Dragon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Wales).

Good to see you here Hairetikos, I also remember your name from the OF!

Yes, I think that many of us were catalysts that attracted interesting people to OF, (and sometimes also filters who deterred teenagers and others that just "werent ready yet" ;)). this we did not only by knowledge but by portraying a certain level of consciousness, education and style. some of the people that impressed me most werent classical magicians who often disappointed me, but those who had the ability to play in more fields and werent dogmatic; were serious about their quest. Who could throw away their preconceived learnings for the sake of their own integrity and truth- one of those few was the poster m1thr0s.

thanks Kuroyagi...being a high-profile poster has actually posed some unique challenges in terms of managing my own forums...I think it has taken a bit longer for people to feel confident that it's ok to play around and/or explore some of their own ideas in the presence of a freaking godzilla like myself...but it is happening and I am very pleased with how it's all shaping up so far...

If you're asking whether I'm Greek or not, the answer is no. I'm predominantly Pennsylvania Dutch and, incidentally, I reside in PA. I'm only presuming that you were referring to nationality based on your interest in the Greek origin of my name. This word was actually just something I encountered in my early occult studies and it sort of stuck with me ever since.

And don't worry about the hijack, I'm enjoying it. It's a minor relief being around intelligent people again.

Yes, I think all of us here feel pretty much the same way on that one. There ain't much scope for our kind being understood in the wider world, too aware and knowledgable. So it's all a merry maya dance out there that, while fun and easy, is fundementally unsatisfying in that it is perfroce a pretence (us being smaller, less aware, more 'normal' so the normals can more or less relate).

Thx for the clairifcation on the name btw. Indeed it was just because it sounded Greek that I wondered.

all the best,
Oazaki.
