Had some fun today playing Gin Rummy and
'Knights' In The Corners with my young son today...
He's a fan of these games, and a good player...
However, today we used 52 cards from the Thoth deck...
It was a challenge for both of us to 'translate' on the fly...
And the overall appearance of all the cards was beautifully
rich and colorful compared to normal playing cards (natch)...

The card layouts themselves made it a little tough to
read when fanned in the hand or laid out in a spread...
But it was do-able...
BTW, in the KITC game, normally the cards are played in descending
numerical order, alternating black/red/black/red, so when using the
elemental 'suits' we quickly discovered that we would be playing
straight (wands or swords)/curvey (cups or discs)/straight/etc...
My little innocent (he's 6-1/2) decided we could
remember this rule by thinking boy/girl/boy/girl...;)
