    Ayahuasca Trip (re-constructed)

I have re-constructed this thread, because I think it is a good idea and I would also like to continue the PM discussions...

    Ayahuasca Trip
    deviadah:
I propose that a group of people go to Brazil with the purpose of partaking in some ayahuasca deep in the Amazon jungle. It should be a very magical experience indeed. And remember even if you go it doesn't mean that you will have to take ayahuasca, the jungle itself is, I am sure, quite magical on its own.

Reading The Invisible Landscape (by the McKenna brothers) at the moment and I really feel an urge to do this, as I have done for many years now.

    Who is interested?

If there is a genuine interest in this then this thread can be used to discuss, prepare and organize this trip.

There are several Q that needs answers:

    When? Where? Who? (for instance)

The link below seems a bit tourist for my liking:
    Ayahuasca Retreat

    Oblio:
I think it's a fantastic idea, if you're still at the planning stage in the next say 10 months it'll be more likely that I could join. Good luck with this adventure
    deviadah:
Well I don't imagine this Trip to take place in 2007, more so 2008 so that won't be a problem. It will take some planning to organize this.

If you want in you're of course welcome.

Please contribute with whatever ideas/facts you can to make this possible. Most of us come from different countries so we all need, perhaps, different visas etc...
    Amur:
Last time I had ayahuasca I really got into the spirit world. Got quite the bad trip with a very underground demonic aspect with a clear message of Beingness to get through rough times. The purity afterwards was just great. A state of enlightenment where everything went on like a dance of musicness. Ayahuasca can be ordered over the internet also. Though would be great to get back home to the amazons. Have quite fond memories from the place at a different time period involving ayahuasca. The brew was so familiar tasting that it was like coming back to a fond old memory.

If I get a job at norway up in the north at the fish factory I'll probably make it to 2008, otherwise it might take longer. Got some shamanic friends who are also eager to join along.
    deviadah:
Well, to order it over the internet won't really be the same. It's like taking Acid on a Rollercoaster ride... not recommended. We have to return to the roots, the origin and I am sure the experience will be so much better!

    2008 it is!

I for one can't go sooner, but let me also add that 2009 is too late!

Let's do this during the following year!

    Also it has got an 8 (infinity) in its number and: 2+0+0+8 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1

Number wise it is a good year!
    MythMath:
    Trippingman...
    deviadah:
    So want to tag along?
    Sheosyrath:
Oooh, that sounds fun, but alas I doubt I'll ever have enough money for such an adventure.
    MythMath:
    It sounds like a wonderful adventure;
reminds me of that scene in Altered States...

    But I'm broke, too...

Wanna meet up in Indiana and do some DMT, instead...?
    fr.novumorganum:
would have to be in the summer
    deviadah:
What kind of weather does the Amazons have during the summer? I hope it's not the rainseason or we'll be tripping on like Noah!
    MythMath:
Northern hemisphere's Summer is Southern hemisphere's Winter... but I don't think it matters much in an equatorial rainforest...

    Ayahuasca is over-rated.

Ayahuasca seems pretty amazing from what I've heard & read...sounds interesting compared to freebase DMT also. I don't know enough shamanic type people to get something going here or I'd throw up a few teepees and have a native american style 'huasca journey. I'm sure the plains would be pretty conducive to travelling through dimensions due to their their visual simplicity...probably very trance inducing.

Though as you mentioned deviadah, the rainforest would be incredible to be in sober and I'm sure (if they let you tag along) the group vibe would be pretty intense while the session is happening...one could probably shoot off just from that alone, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little help from my [shaman] friends

Amur - It seems like many ayahuasca experiences are challenging as it is sort of a cleansing, correct? unless you're f-in Zeus you're probably gonna see some bad things come up.

Coincidentally enough I found out recently a friend of mine is in cahoots with Dennis McKenna and will be going to Brazil for an ayahuasca journey this summer. I believe he will be with McKenna, Shulgin, Ott & that whole crew most of the time. He offered a place for me but I'm not sure if the funds will be there in time...

I could get some info if you guys are interested. I have no idea how private this expedition is, though. I doubt you could just book an ayahuasca trip with Dennis McKenna over the web....

I did Ayahuasca and salvia guided by a south american shaman all I can say it was life changing almost like Ctrl Alt Del of the soul ... But some did not handle it very well the more preperation and cleansing before the session the better going into it half assed is a bad move... go for it enjoy the ride

Hmm thinking of ordering 10kg of ayahuasca so that I could get healed a 'bit' faster (uargh the hell it's going to be). You are welcome to join me in Finland. There's lots of nice cottages here with nice nature if you wanna come. Norway could be nice also with the mountains. Though I'm open for any other place in europe also.

How's the fall 2008 for you ppl? Would it be a good time to hold a meeting?

I'm game whenever... either it has to be the jungle of the Amazon OR the cold barren wilderness of northern Scandinavia!
